Fantastic

This hit the spot. I have not loved a show this much since i first discovered NCIS. When i discovered today that it was cancelled i felt as if someone has died. I actually went online to order box set, but no point now. This is LIFE(another cancelled show) all over again. Fox get your act together and make stuff real people want to watch not teenagers too many reality shows and not enough good wholesome clean fun like The Finder. P.S I've filled in the petition. And yes i loved Bones but gave up after series 3 , this is much better and could easily go another 3 or 4 series. The actors are brill and all work well together, you get a real sense of 'family' from them a cop, a soldier a lawyer and a thief. I also love the way the show has action, laughs, and trivia, you learn something new from this every show. Law, life, science, art, i could go on.

Great Show on my Do Not Miss List

First off, if there was a way to give 20 stars I would. After years of CSI type shows, this is a breath of fresh air. The plots have unusual twists and the cast performs admirably.

I love the character of Willa, played to the tee by Maddie Hasson. A blond female youth role that is not the teen angst with a side of privileged cheer leading princess is such a refreshing change. Her character is strong while at the same time vulnerable, making one root for her.

The title character, the Finder, portrayed by Geoff Stults would drive you nuts as a friend but as entertainment he's a hoot. Locating the missing (fill in the blank) through a combination of observational skills and the ability to see what's going on outside the box, the route from A to B is never a straight line and is always entertaining.

Michael Clarke Duncan as Leo is a gem. He is actually the soul of the show and, in addition to being talented, has the most wonderful voice on television. I could listen to that man reading the phone book! All in all, this is one entertaining show that I hope has a long life and keeps writing the quarter bubble off plot lines. Well done all!

LOVE the Finder

I love this show -- and the new cast is, in my opinion, far better than the one-off prequel which introduced the show as it spun off from Bones. Geoff Stultz character is played brilliantly as is the whole supporting cast. Even Eric Roberts' gnarly turn as gypsy boss was excellently cast. Where did the writers' come up with this? I thought it far more original than anything else around (I'm sick of your typical CSI crime dramas) with lots of humor to go along with the clever scripts. Having just learned the show did not get renewed, I'm once again so annoyed at myself for giving Fox a chance. They seem to cancel everything I've ever liked and renew all the crap. Too bad. This cast, these writers, this concept were all awesome. I sure hope some other network picks them up. Fox infuriates me.

Funny, witty and keeps you guessing

Great show with a great cast that work well together. We love the way "The Finder" puts things together. This is a very different series, it keeps you guessing as the "The Finder" goes on the hunt. It also gives you enough clues to put things together yourself. The characters are ones you want to pull for to do the right thing and you find yourself caring about how things work out for them. I am also happy to see Micheal Clark Duncan in this series, his character brings the right balance to the finder. We just hope it can stick around for a while and we will not lose "The Finder". Give it a look, you won't be disappointed.

Great characters, great stories.

This is one of the best TV series out there. A very entertaining comedic drama... The regular characters are simply beautiful souls. The Finder's "Legal Adviser" stands out in this respect, but the other character each have their endearing quirks and come across as people anyone would love to have as a friend. Combine that with a quirky and engaging story line, and you have a series which is consistently one of the most entertaining and engaging things on TV these days. Sometimes the Rube Goldberg devices Walter creates to help his thought processes are clearly impossible for one person to create in under a month, but aside from the suspension of disbelief required for that, this series is essentially flawless.

Quirkiest new show on TV!

Stellar cast and wonderful, refreshing new premise! They have great chemistry and I laugh out loud every episode.

I did not even know, nor do I now care, that it was a "spin-off" from Bones. My whole family loves it and I think Fox is mistaken if they cancel it without giving it a chance. I am SO sick of reality, music and cartoons! They pre-empt like crazy, moved shows around to where you don't even know what night it comes on and then wonder why ratings drop.

Maybe one day Fox will also realize that not all of their viewers are teenage airheads but some actually want TV that has a plot and entertains.

Goes good with a margarita

OK, this is kind of fun, but...it's sort of like the kind of semi-witty banter you engage in with your buddies in a bar after you've had a few. You all think you are a riot, but the sober couple at the table next to you is somewhere between mildly entertained and mildly irritated.

Add to that the unimaginative and totally obtuse conclusions that "The Finder" draws from every obscure fact and...well, you may want to have a few before you watch. Or, you can just excuse the whole thing as being "tongue in cheek", and just enjoy it.

On the bright side, it co-stars one of my favorite actors, Michael Clarke Duncan. Geoff Stults, the Finder, is palatable as the quirky combination of Columbo, Sherlock Holmes, and of course just a touch of Bones sarcasm. There's the obligatory smattering of hot chix for men of all ages. So what do you have to lose. Give it a try--it's a good excuse for a drink--or two.

Weird Scooby Doo gang

Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults) is an Iraq war veteran who has special skills finding things. He owns a bar with Leo Knox (Michael Clarke Duncan). US Deputy Marshal Isabel Zambada (Mercedes Masöhn) is his love interest. Willa Monday (Maddie Hasson) is a gypsy serving her probation with the gang.

There is a good possible premise with a really weird guy and his Scooby gang. It was first on TV show 'Bones' episode called 'The Finder'. Back then, the gang had Saffron Burrows. I like Walter weirder and with Saffron in the group. Although Saffron should lose that odd accent. Mercedes never fits in the group. She works as the outside love interest. The group needs one more character. Maddie is more of a mascot. The core debating group need 3 people at least. This lasted a half-season. It needs more time to fix the various kinks.

I can't believe the show's been canceled!

I can't believe the show has been canceled! I've never written one of these reviews before, but that is how strongly I feel about the loss of this show! I loved the Finder. It was original and funny -so different that the typical "solve the crime" shows.

Don't we already have enough CSIs? It's fun trying to figure out how Walter's mind works to reach the conclusions he reaches. He offers enough clues that the crime sleuths in all of us can try to find the lost right along with him. This show has real heart! The the characters - all are so different, but work so well together.

Why would Fox give up on the show so fast? The show just has to come back! Hopefully another network will pick up the show and let all of us that enjoy the show still have a chance to watch.

Love it

The show is just good, fun entertainment. Sometimes it's nice to be entertained and not have to think things through. I love the cast, great chemistry all around.

Plus, love the idea of living in a bar at the end of the world somewhere. Very appealing.

I'm not crazy about the gypsy connection and stealing stuff; I like Isabel and her connection with Walter. I like the "family" they have carved out for themselves. I like the BEST FRIENDS feeling; also how the four of them watch out for each other. You get the sense of genuine caring.

Of course it's nonsense. When I want Drama, I watch Dexter. For fun, I will watch The Finder.

Cancel Bones - Keep The Finder

The Finder is by far better than it's predecessor, in that the characters are more well drawn, and the stories are fresher, as well as the actual methods that the main character uses to get to the end.

The characters are unique. Leo Knox played by Michael Clark Duncan was my favorite character, as he was the anchor to the show, and was a highly intelligent man who was also strong physically. Willa was a great addition because she was on the fringe of things, and brought a more youthful viewpoint to the going ons. Plus she's a gypsy, and how often do you see a protagonist that is a gypsy on TV? Simply - The Show is Very Well Done.

well of course. thanks morons

my wife watches TV, I web browse in front of the TV. it's our thing.

THIS show, however, has me closing my laptop to watch, every single time. it's wonderful. the characters are GREAT. genius. interesting people who must be paid attention to.

and. it's. over. F you very much Mr. "we know what people want" TV man.

I liked Dexter. . . for awhile. . . I like Justified. the Big Bang theory was great for awhile. now. . . nothing. there is nothing left for me.

We tried "agents of Shield". it's . . . OK. . . doesn't feel like the same writers as the movies. . . so. . . . back to web browsing. what a bummer.

New Invented MacGyverism

When I first watched this show, I thought 'so what, folks ?'. But I gave it a second chance, a third, a fourth....until season finale. And now I miss it, knowing it will not be continued.

"The Finder" was nowhere to call a spin-off, except for the first few episodes, with a really small number of guest appearances from "Bones" there. What the producers seemingly didn't realize is the real target audience for the show. It is a great show for teenagers, whose struggles with the society are represented by the Willa Character, supported by the big Leo figure as a benefactor, and led to creativity in thinking by the deeply sympathetic main character Walter's crude solutions, which are of course mostly not replicable, but are indeed showing how lateral thinking could work.

What I didn't like was the biased presentation of the gypsies. Most Americans may do not know what Gypsies are or may have never heard of them. It's definitively not their main profession to steal from others. And if they submit a crime, it can be violent also. Their society has a number of questionable customs, like child marriage, but a society should not be prejudged. People have to accept that there are different ways to live. Property and employment are not mandatory for a respectable life.

The show has not much violence and a lot of humor and even some wisdom. It lacks a certain dramatic level, but for adults it has a conciliative aspect, which may on the other hand not be very attractive at 8.p.m. or 9.p.m.

I would position this show at the same level as "Mac Guyver" from the 1980s, which is now cult. While the old show was mainly action-driven, "The Finder" is more a "Sherlock-Holmes in Miami" scenario, utilizing unusual thoughts, a little bending of the law, and gut instincts. One of the nicest ideas here was the task to find a special menu for a husband who wanted to save his marriage with it, and although the realization of this idea was undeniably not the best, when not even far from good, it was a very enjoyable episode.

It was really a bad decision to cancel this show.

Not bad

Initially, I was excited for the upcoming new TV show. It looked entertaining. However, when I began watching it I noticed that it is fairly similar to another TV series called "Psych." Not exactly similar, of course, but enough to make me lose my interest. There is the central character who does strange and seemingly random actions occasionally, like lie on the ground pretending to be an aeroplane, but the sporadic behaviour seems to be a pale shadow of the same actions taken by the lead character on Psych. Other similarities include the hot police officer who helps them and a constant flirtatious relationship between the two, the black guy buddy who works on cases with him... it was too much for me to take seriously anymore. If you've never watched Psych, then it's a great show. Otherwise...

Love this show

This show is original and thoroughly entertaining. It is smart and funny. The characters are very original and very easy to get involved with. I look forward to Friday nights for the new episodes! Walter is very convincing and funny to watch. Willa is a wayward girl trying to find her place in the world outside of her controlling gypsy family. Leo is smart and a good man trying to make up for his past. Isabel is a good influence on Walter and has a great body!!! Timo needs to join Willa in trying to be a better person and get away from the family so he can be with his true love. I really enjoy the episodes where the Bones crew join the finder cast. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Sort of entertaining, but cheesy

I was excited about watching this show, since the premise seemed interesting.

Instead, it turned out to be repetitive and full of clichés. The plot doesn't always make sense, and most of the time is uninteresting.

Actors are not the best (to say the least), and making them fit in the story feels really fake and unnatural.

The show displays a lot of scenes exploiting women sexuality just to get the attention of the viewer - like a US marshal wearing high heels and an indecent cleavage, scenes of blonde cat fights, etc.

Some episodes will sort of catch your attention but overall I'd say the show is uninteresting and boring.

VERY funny!

I liked bones, but I hardly ever watched it. My roommates love it and can't miss an episode. So when I heard about a spin off I was mildly curious. After reading about the plot I had to see it. I wasn't just happy that I did but I was ecstatic about it. Geoff Stults especially had my roommate and I rolling on the floor in episode 4. There are so many good shows to watch (none of them are on TNT IMO) and this is a must see for me.

As for the supporting cast I give them all 5 stars but Stults is funny just sitting still. Actually, he has the weirdest-looking head I've ever seen in a TV show. Where did he get that chin???

Superb show that will touch your funny bone in all the right places.
