Bloody Game

The renowned original Genius Series which aired some years back was about players using their mental capabilities and inter-personal strategies to win strategic or other brainy games. Bloody Game added some physical ability competition to the mix so that players' physical strength or endurance contributes to better performance.

The physical competition element is not exactly the best format. It is somewhat rough and at times results in unpleasantness for the players and viewers alike. I would have preferred a more delicate format as in a series of simple physical games (such as the ones in Squid Game) to achieve the same result. That said, it does add a bit more color to the show and I would like to see improvement in that regard in future competition shows.

Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed watching and it was an immersive vicarious experience viewing the players use whatever skillset they've got to continue to survive.

I'm writing as of the end of Season 3 and I can say that it is getting even better with each passing Season. And Season 3 is a must watch because it features Korean survival show legends Dongmin and Jinho going head to head.

Missed the first Bloody Game, but if it was anything like Bloody Game 2, it must have been good. This review is for Bloody Game 2. Best competition show I have seen in a long time. Can't wait for episode 3. The show gets better and better each episode. Episode 2 is epic as smarts vs. Braun clash, and even when the game is over braun (basketball player) doesn't stop and goes too far. Dex is an amazing smart player and will go far, as well as a few others. If you like competition game's with smarts, strategy, physical force with no restrictions on fighting, tricks, games, monetary prizes, spies and more, then it is a much watch for you.
