Crash Canyon is definitely not as bad as the series is often said to be. Sure, there are more than obvious bonds to Family Guy and American Dad, but the original premise is fun. Do you know the situation when episodes appeared in the aforementioned cartoon classics that you had hoped the series makers would devote themselves to the topic in more detail? Crash Canyon looks like the Canadians clearly have this need. The premise is funny and personable, but not exploited enough. Instead, stories from everyday life are told, as they could have happened outside of the canyon. The animations are satisfactory, but significantly less detailed than the American greats of the genre. The characters are paler, but still sufficiently amiable and about every third episode makes you laugh or at least smile. The series is really supported primarily by the premise. The intro is short and cool, so no idea why so much is being hacked into here. The same goes for the simple but suitable background music.
We binge-watched the entire series... and... we still aren't quite sure what the point was. It was almost like the Family Guy formula was used for Gilligan's Island. None of the characters come anywhere near to being likeable; if we chuckled more then 4 or 5 times the entire series I'd be amazed.
Also... mentioning Saskatchewan and Montreal 5 or 6 times is the ONLY Canadian content in this. Nearly every character is clearly an AMERICAN stereotype, and the landscape is clearly SW USA.
If you want to see the people version of "Confuse-A-Cat", watch this.

It's an awesome show, really funny. I like Vernon the most out of all the family and the rich people that have a mansion in the canyon, the mom LIKES her son and thinks her daughter is UGLY! The guy with the monkey assistant who used to work at Nasa is also pretty funny when he acts like he's a soldier (more like a scientist.) the torture lady TM (my personal nickname) who always hits that bear with her cane and talks like a man is extremely funny! (SPOILER ALERT) i like when the bear gets off the hook because her (HIS) husband comes back and the first thing she says to him when she meets him again is that "you still have chores to do." aahhh good times good times. So i think i made my point about it being really funny so if you haven't checked it out do it now! it's on Teletoon at Night on weekends.
Ah. Yes. Crash Canyon. I still remember in 2012, when people we're hyped by this oddity, because a Simpsons writer was involved, there was some though this show would be decent, but it seems that "Simpsons Writer" wasn't really as "good" as they though to be, because this show turned out into massive bull when it came out. Even so, i think teletoon was literally trying to get rid of this show after his original release, because there was no in-channel advertising and it was playing really late, uniquely.
Really. I may sound hysterical, but this literally makes shows like Fugget about It look worth while, compared to this. I still even regret starting this review and even paying attention to this show yet again, but there i did.
So many things to say about this already, from the awful writing, to the boring and predictable plots, to really ugly and bland design choices, to annoyingly awful voice acting, to all the characters that are oblivious bland copy and pastes of Seth McFarland trope characters, to finish with animation being as robotic and uninteresting that couldn't even compare to those amateur flash animation on the internet, but i'm not even going to bother to go further in details, thats how little i care. Everything about this show is simply wrong, and already, i probably don't need to specify, since i think people did some justice about this show before me.
So, to finish with, i'm glad Teletoon decided to get rid of this horrid monstrosity, it was a fault since the start, it deserved a 4.0 and even lower, and the people who made this clearly didn't have thoughts or even ideas clear on what they were dealing with. I rest my case.

I absolutely love this show. It is original, quirky and completely one of a kind. Everyone is quick to compare it to the Simpsons or other "similar shows"... Really, if you want something like The Simpsons, you will probably hate the heck out of this show. However, if you are looking for something that is a little whacked and very funny in a "WTF" type way, look no further! With such characters as Coma Steve and Dummy, it fills my need for slapstick, wordplay and torture (& tortured) humour all in one slap to the face. I do hope this show is around long enough to become a cult classic.
