Three girls teleporting themselves from Australia to Germany to Singapore should be a good starting point to a fantastic world of illusion. What we see is a story of true friendship, a strong bond with some moments of fine entertainment. Unfortunately, the main concept is not fully developed in this show.
Mainly, the show circles and sticks around a dance competition instead of being a no limits weekly story, like Foreign Exchange, another Australian show. The girls are, most of the time, pretty superficial and Ally (Marny Kennedy) dissing Dan (Luke Erceg) becomes the most tiresome part of show. As to the dancing part, it's obvious that none of the three girls (Marny Kennedy, Charlotte Nicdao and Sophie Karbjinsky) could dance to save their lives. That's the explanation of the rudimentary choreography they perform; actually, the reason why they win the competition is because their rivals are even worse.
A gURLs wURLd is one of those shows that deserve a remake with more compromised writers that can do better with the premise.
