Shadow Warrior 3

Are you tired of those boring military shooters and copy paste Battle Royal games?! Of course you are, everyone is tired of those!!

You want a game that is pure high octane fun and explosive; full of demon killing, one liners, and grappling hooks! Plus it has a main character that isn't as boring as cardboard and he has that rebellions attitude that we don't see in videogames anymore!

Yet another shooter ruined by the desire to be an obvious Doom 2016 wannabe. It's like this is all we get nowadays. Either something that tries to be Call of Duty or something that tries to be Doom 2016. And I find both to be overrated pieces of crap. The modern Doom games have this tedious and repetitive arena-style combat and heavy emphasis on melee attacks. Which is featured heavily in this game as well. At least it doesn't have the forced melee finishers but the game still relies heavily on melee attacks.

And ever notice how Lo Wang's design got progressively worse with every game after the 90s original? This is the worst one yet.

First of all, I cringe every time the new VA talks. His voice acting skills are awful and it's really obvious he's trying to imitate the real Lo Wang's voice actor. This is one negative and probably the biggest.

Secondly, Shadow Warrior 2 was way better. It actually had replay value. It had lots of side quests and trials and bounties and different missions with different environments. And most importantly, CO-OP! It wasn't the best co-op experience with the sht netcoding of it, but it was still there.

They didn't even bother with this one to put a co-op in here. Which I would have no problem at all if the game wasn't only 6 hours! Like I played the first of for 17 hours till I finished it, but there's no reason to buy this game full price when it's less in every way than the previous ones and it doesn't even have a New Game+ mode.

Like the 2nd one had a loot and weapon upgrade system and it gave you a lot of different swords and pistols and weapons with different stats and lots and lots of different ways of upgrading and modifying them and it was actually fun. But this one? You just have a katana and some guns.

SW2 had directional sword action and you could chop up enemies the way you want and the direction you wanted. This one? It's just button mashing until the enemy is dead.

It's unfair not to mention that the gameplay is actually fun, like it's not bad. But it's not what the previous ones were and it has way less effort put into it.

It's like some other novice studio played Shadow Warrior 2 and said "yup, I bet I can make a sequel to this" and went and made this.

Wait for a year or two for at least a 60% discount and play the first two in the meantime cause they actually have replay value and a better VA and a better gun system.
