Love at First Sight is a love story.

A man, Arthur, is living in a care home. He goes to an eating place and talks with two of his friends. Then, he sees a lady and falls in love with her at first sight. She is Ruth. He addresses her and they get along smoothly. She says she married when she was young, and now her husband is dead. He says he was a police officer. After their date, He proposes to her, and she says yes...

In this movie, Ruth has a big secret and it evokes emotion. It describes true love. I felt happy watching it. However, I think it also contains the dark side which is one realistic problem in care homes. It has a jagged aspect. I thought I have to think about the problem deeply. It is a heartful movie or thoughtful movie.

An old man wakes up in his room and gets dressed. He puts on a jacket and goes to the dining room. As he is holding his plate of food, he finds a woman reading the book at a table and falls in love at first sight with her. He stops to fill his plate and immediately goes to the woman. He sits at the woman's table and as they talk, he becomes friends with her. They take walks together, dance, and enjoy many other things together. One day, on the stairs, he confesses his feelings to the woman. The woman is delighted and responds. Another day, she is reading an album with tears in her eyes.

This is a romantic film. I think the plot of this movie is very good. The last scene is unexpected and will surprise most of the viewers. The former half of the movie describes their happy time together and you will feel very happy watching it. But when you see the last scene, you will feel differently. I like this movie because the unexpected ending is foreshadowed in the first half of the film, and if you watch it carefully, you will notice it. Although the ending is unexpected, I recommend you to watch it because the structure is very easy to watch.

Love at First Sight is a short film. It is the story of an elderly man falling in love at first sight with an elderly woman. The first thing that drew me to this film was the camera work. The moment an elderly man falls in love at first sight with an elderly woman can be understood by the camera work without any words. And we can read that the elderly man and the elderly woman are having a wonderful time, not in words, but in the shifting scenes and their expressions. Furthermore, it is interesting to see where an elderly man seriously falls in love with an elderly woman. This is not something that happens very often from a practical standpoint, but his facial expressions and actions convey that he is very serious. And most of all, I love the gentle expression on the old woman's face that accepts everything. So I recommend this film. I want the viewer to pay particular attention to the expressions of the actors' faces and eyes.

Love at First Sight is a short love story of old woman and man at a nursing facility. One day, Arthur, an old man falls in love with Ruth, an old woman who reads books at first sight at the window at cafeteria in the nursing home, so he talks to her. As they go out together and have conversations, they become good friends, and Arthur proposes at the end of the day even though they just meet, and Ruth accepts it. Next day, Arthur gets up as usual, sees Ruth at cafeteria, and falls in love at first sight... I really like this film because I thought the power of love is wonderful even if we get older and a long time passes. I was moved by Arthur's depth of love because he keeps on loving one woman even if he is not able to remember who Ruth is and certainly conveys his affection. People around Arthur are very kind because they never make fun of him and watch over him, so I feel happy. I also got satisfied with the story because of actors' facial expressions, well-paced development and its conciseness.

Two basic virtues define this lovely short film - the presence ( and acting ) of Phyllida Law and John Hurts, the twist, gentle and sweet in its dramatic resonance.

A love story admirable crafted.

But a love story special in its essence, first for the old fashion, so near by fairy tale or mythology story.

Two venerable people. His fascination about a beautiful lady. His enthusiasm. The memories and passing afternoon. And a lovely turn of events and the significance of the words of venerable man front to the new day.

Easy to define as romantic gem. But it is more. Maybe, precise definition of authentic love. Or story about invisible connections.

In short, just touching and seductive.
