Another great show from s/k shame we in uk seem to care more about reality tv these days-no decnt drama-were luck if we get 1hr awk but s/k continues to put rest to shame.
Surprisingly, the main characters in this series didnt catch my attention, instead i am drawn to the supporting characters, they have more strong presence in the story, and the actors are better than the two leads.
The two main characters' are boring, kind of dumb and repetitive of so much korean drama. The storyline has a lot of inconsistencies and holes.
The woman lead (Jo Bo-Ah) is a total disappointment, the only facial expression she can have is to open her already big eyes into bigger eyes, showing a lot of whites which is kind of scary, . She NEEDS to polish her acting. The male leads if average, nothing spectacular, so average.
However, the supporting characters, Noh Hwa-Young, Noh Tae-Nam and Pyun Sang-Ho, these are brilliant characters that gave the story a strong background. Imagine without them, this series will be so boring.
The transition of Noh Tae-nam is heartwarming and inspirational, a child who didnt have the love of his mother and became a bully, is lonely and have only his dog as his family. His transition from being a weak, angry bully to realizing his wrongdoings, to finding his inner peace and eventually, forgive the mother who brings so much pain in his life is inspirational.
The actors who played the three characters are good, since their characters have more dimension, they must have the acting skills to portray different emotion and feelings at different stage/scene, yet they delivered. I would love to see more of Kim Woo-Seok and Kim Yo-Han.
Overall, it is not a bad show, thanks to the supporting cast.

Are you looking for a Korean drama with no romance and two military prosecutors fighting in court for justice? Well, you are in luck because the chemistry between Ah Bo Hyun and Jo Bo Ah was excellent. This drama never got boring, and the twists will keep you on edge. The OST is so good, too, as the music helps tell the plot flawlessly. You need to watch this!!
MILITARY PROSECUTOR DOBERMAN's ratings have been relatively strong and consistent, owing to how quickly each episode delivers justice and how entertaining its fight scenes can be. Every two episodes depict a military issue based on the reality of military conscription: stories of rich kids avoiding the draught, upper-level officials using private soldiers as slaves, and using military influence and power for personal estate and gain. While some cases' resolutions are borderline fantastical and unbelievable, it's still satisfying to see powerful villains fall in a court of law.
Although the plot can become complicated on many fronts, with some resolutions more unbelievable than others, this show boasts a talented cast and gives equal importance to every character. Ahn Bo-Hyun has entered his true leading man era with this show, fully flexing his action-star background for the fight scenes he has to perform every other episode. Jo Bo-ah is also an excellent fighter, and the two have slow-burn chemistry that will keep everyone guessing until the very end.
In addition to these strong main characters, the show has a fantastic antagonist in the form of the soft-spoken General Noh Hwa-young, who manages to scare everyone. She is not only physically strong but also ruthless and cunning. It was an excellent portrayal! Furthermore, keep an eye out for the soldiers' incredible performances, particularly rookie soldier Noh Tae-Nam, played by Kim Woo-Suk, the general's traumatized son.
In a nutshell, MILITARY PROSECUTOR DOBERMAN is a densely packed tour of the military's worst abuses disguised as a revenge action drama. The show may appear predictable at first, but the journey is full of surprises that will force you to reconsider your feelings about certain characters and situations. So, give it a watch!

I really enjoyed this show. Except for the end, I thought the pacing was great. They did a great job of rolling out the backstory and twists in a manner that keeps you engaged with the series' story. That said, I felt the ending did feel a bit rushed. They'd spent several episodes looking for some key evidence but after getting it, it wasn't really a big factor in wrapping up the prosecutions.
The action scenes were very well done...especially when they added some underlying humor into the scene. I thought both Jo Bo-ah and Ahn Bo-hyun did great with the stunts they performed. The only aspect I didn't like was that afterwards, it seemed they just left the thugs go. Being military prosecutors, one would think they'd ensure that the thugs all were turned over to local police. Especially in the situations where kidnapping occurred before the big fight scene.
I really enjoyed how they handled No Tae-nam's (Kim Woo-seok) character. His growth from despicable to empathetic very well done and believable. Kim Woo-seok did an excellent job with it.
This was my first time seeing Ahn Bo-hyun and thought he did a great job with the role. And I'm a fan of Jo Bo-ah. It was great seeing her in a more action-oriented role - she did not disappoint!
The romance thread was perfect. This isn't a romcom so keeping the romance very slow and subtle was entirely appropriate. But the slow burn was there thru each episode with subtle glances, expressions and actions. What they did with the kiss scene was a bit strange though. From interviews, it sounds like it was actual shot but to edit it into a suggestion seems like a strange choice. It would have been fine to show it at that point in the show. And using the 'disappear overseas for a year' trope with Woo-in was weird and unexplained. I love Kdramas but they do seem to have difficulty with the series endings. Even the great ones seem to do some inexplicable things in those last 30 minutes.
I really enjoyed this series and definitely recommend it if you are at all interested in a series set in a military setting or with a legal theme.

- QuizIn episode 14, the decorative sword in Division Commander Noh Hwan-young's office which normally sits with the blade up, is seen with the blade face down. This is a sign that she is at war.
