Karl pretty much sleeps through this one.

The comedy due of Karl Dane and George Arthur is pretty much unknown today...and it was a strange partnership. This is because Karl was Danish and George was a Brit...and they starred in several American films! "Summer Daze" is one off their last films before, sadly, Dane killed himself in 1934.

Through nearly all of this short, Karl's accent isn't very noticeable. After all, he's sleeping again and again. Whether or not this was his shtick in other films, I have no idea. So, it's up to George to do much of the talking and acting.

The plot involves the pair taking their girlfriends camping with them. Nothing that extraordinary happens until near the end...when the boys fall off a HUGE cliff and need to be rescued by the girls. Some is mildly funny, little is downright hilarious. But, on the other hand, it's all mildly enjoyable...making it nice viewing if you want to see something a bit different. Not exactly brilliant but fun.
