This might be too goofy to get a higher rating, but it does a damned fine job of what it aims at.
The people behind it must have watched every slasher film between 1974-1989. They knew all the camera angles, they knew the soft targets to make fun of. Including having the soundtrack be out of sync for the 1978 scenes.
The humor is juvenile, but it is funny.
A parody that will make the humorless complain about it being cheesy because they won't get it. But if you also watched a lot of slasher films...... This is how you make a dumb film intelligently.

Bloody Bloody Bible Camp (2012) is a movie I recently watched on Shudder. The storyline follows a group of campers who head out to a Bible camp by a lake where a mass murder happened 30 years ago. Could the original killer make a reappearance?
This movie is directed by Vito Trabucco (Henchman: The Al Leong Story) and stars Reggie Bannister (Phantasm), Tim Sullivan (Detroit Rock City), Ron Jeremy (54), Ivet Corvea (Run! Bitch! Run!) and Gigi Bannister (Bubba Ho-Tep).
This movie is a little like Hatchet where it doesn't take itself too seriously. The script and dialogue in this is fun and there's a trivia scene that's hilarious. The kill scenes start slow but get better the last 45-60 minutes. Theres plenty of blood splatter and a few scenes with some worthwhile gore. Oh, and this movie gets .5 points for who they cast as Jesus.
Overall this is a very average addition to the horror genre with a few worthwhile lines and scenes. I would score this a 5.5/10 and recommend seeing it once.

"Bloody Bloody Bible Camp" is a traditional slasher horror comedy directed by Vito Trabucco. The film plays upon the classic standard affair that slasher horror adheres to as axiomatic truth, with special emphasis on exaggerated caricature personalities, in campy comedic precept. The film stars Reggie Bannister, Tim Sullivan, Ron Jeremy, Ivet Corvea, Matthew Aidan and Elissa Dowling. The story follows a group of Christian campers returning to the Happy Day Bible Camp, the scene of a brutal massacre of campers years earlier by the notorious "Sister Mary Chopper", a masked killer.
"Bloody Bloody Bible Camp" isn't actually a return to classic 80's style slasher films but it is more of a celebration of the sub-genre in horror. The director of the movie highlighted and accentuated all that was glorious and gory of the decade that gave us the slasher not to mention the urban legends of masked killers lurking in the dark just beyond the yellow glow of the campfire. There are some moments in the film that "ham" it up a bit too much but they are very few and do not detract from the entertainment value of the complete picture. The characters are less than stellar, however they create a fun energetic vibe as rightful prey to the sinister Sister Mary Chopper. The film is a great indie fun time with plenty of set up scenes that strike instant nostalgia of the genre that thrives on body count. There are some weaknesses in the story that implies a greater desire to play on the gore rich kill scenes instead of a strong story but non of it really ever collapses the complete story line. Actually the film is so much fun to watch and is truly a great homage to the slasher genre that there is no real moment that would produce any emotion other than an instant love of the movie. Plus Sister Mary Chopper is just a great and terrible on screen monster that sparks all the happy thoughts of those other masked homicidal maniacs from decades past.
I would say that all horror fans would enjoy "Bloody Bloody Bible Camp" but don't go into the film expecting a high production value or Indie gold acting. It is a great low budget film that is big on guts 'n' gore, tits and trash topics not to mention the over the top campy humor. This isn't a top notch scary horror but it holds it's own when it comes to body count, blood and guts and presenting fans with a cool new psycho killer. Check it out if you like a bit of cheese with your gore! It really is a fun little flick.

Most of people would have said that this is the worst movie ever but I don't think it is. Well, if every bad movie is the worst than what is the definition of THE WORST itself. I mean this movie isn't worst but it is bad. They try to put some classic movie atmosphere and cliché' into this and I believe they have succeeded (but not really good). It is not horror but rather trying to be comedic. At times I would feel like laughing but I just can't, something some kind of missing in it. If you have nothing better to do than loosen your expectation and watch this movie. Then you may find it is watchable. If more time, money and efforts being put on this movie maybe it would be much much better.
This movie will make you jump, laugh and say what the $&%^ all in the same scene and at the end, you'll be glad you watched it. A great mix of classic horror and comedy and then you add in Ron Jeremy playing Jesus and you have an instant classic. The movie will keep you wanting to see what happens next and the soundtrack is fitting for the time the movie takes place (early 80's) and funny enough to have you and your friends singing when the movie is over. It has the gore and chicks every good horror movie should require and plot has a few hidden things you only pick up the more you watch it.
