The Great Dismal

An utterly dismal and completely unnecessary movie. It could have been a decent movie but the low grade acting, stilted dialogue and lack of timing between the characters just simply made it hard to watch. There was no rhyme or reason to this movie, which moved at snail's pace until... well... nothing much happens.

The weird part was that there was a significant, subsequent part of the movie that occurred after the credits. It tried to explain the behaviour of one of the characters but didn't really hit the mark. It just added to the misery of the viewing experience.

All in all... not worth the time and effort to watch.

This movie incorporates many different themes : drama , intrigue , horror , comedy, etc . The theme and characters appear to be very real and authentic .

Most people have heard about swamps and " Big Foot " , and this movie entails some of those stories . What are your life experiences and stories ?

The cast and crew appear to be very appropriate to telling the story of " The Great Dismal " ! It would be very nice to create some more films around the surviving characters that would pay homage to the characters that did not survive .

Life is always a travel of trials , errors , and journeys , so enjoy this great journey !

Very different and unique production. I love how it's not really set on one genre it has a variety and the characters are very convincing. Great quality and phenomenal work from all involved it definitely had me reeled in from the beginning to end. The twist and turns with the attention to details and continuity was very impressive and outstanding. The twist at the end was definitely unexpected didn't see it coming at all. I could truly see this having a sequel put in place and going more in depth on some of the missing people or ones who didn't survive. This production will definitely be great to watch all year round and that's what I love about it it'll work for anytime during the year!. Amazing and outstanding job to everyone involved and continued success.

The Great Dismal doesn't have a specific genre it ties to truly. It has elements of every genre. It is a thriller, a horror, a drama, and comes off almost as a documentary of a man that society shunned. The way of filming was unique so as to come off as a 2 parter in 1 movie. The twists and turns along with the attention to detail and continuity was outstanding.

The format in which it was filmed shows there is a story behind everyone and how they ended up the way they are. It also shows that labels of "GOOD" and "EVIL" are a matter of perception.

Overall it was a great film with its own unique style.
