The Recreation of the English Deerhound.

Honoured to have been able to watch this fine documentary on David Platts, his family and his passion for the last four decades to breed a fine sighthound worthy of it's long lost name.

The commentary should also be applauded as it complimented the fine film making brilliantly. This is a documentary that should be watched even if you don't own a dog. A documentary with accolades from the most renowned canine expert in the world Colonel David Hancock. A truly enjoyable documentary worthy of the big screen. Well done to all those involved.

Decades of Dedication

Superb insight into David Platts lifetimes work and achievement to re-establish the English Deerhound. Endorsed by no other than Colonel Dave Hancock. Thoroughly enjoyable, highly recommend. David's vision and strive to achieve his goal is inspiring and something to admire. A must watch.

Very interesting and I'll be watching a second time!

I have been recommended this film by a friend and I was certainly drawn in after watching the trailer.

I am not particularly a dog lover, however I am fascinated with the old English way of life. Mr Platts heritage was very interesting and the achievement in his breeding programme is truly incredible!

Its brilliantly narrated too and I will have to re watch as there is a lot of information in the film. I would certainly recommend to others!

Interesting film

Very good film and promised a lot in the trailer.wish it could have gone on longer and featured more of Dave talking in interviews and explaining more in depth about his breeding program.

But I'd say yes its a must watch if you have an interest in breed preservation or in the deerhound itself or just an interest in dogs. It does capture you from the start and I wanted it to go on for longer such was my enjoyment of it.

A Must See....

A great film, very interesting and infomative. I have always admired David's dogs and it was great to learn just how much work has been put into them, and also to see the way he lives his life so traditionally. Very well made, hats off to David and the producers of this film.
