Bene Dion placed strong emphasis on family relationships and kept us engaged with situational comedy and everyday subtleties. This heartwarming drama is very well cast as a whole particularly Tika & Wendy. One giant hug for everyone involved in making it.

Not just a family drama, but also shows the gender role and expectation in the household. Nice music, landscape and culture story of Batak :) really good acting! From crying, laughing and angry moment, they got it all perfect.

Taught us about cultural ceremony and value of Batak; family is number 1. Make me feel missing home Now :) and definitely worth of my tears to watch the happy ending.

Congrats the crew! You made it to the academy award! We want more this kind of film being produce and watch by Indonesian families and beyond.

Story about Batak Culture intertwined with modern timeline. It's absolutely astounding, Bene Dion really able to direct the whole movie from laugh, to serious, then laugh again, with heartwarming feeling about family.

Perfect movie flow, amazing panoramic view of Toba, combined with Batak's art, seasoned with some light jokes.

I don't expect a lot from Indonesian Movies, but this one really above my expectations, hats off to "Ngeri - Ngeri Sedap"

This movie is not just about family conflict. It's also about the urge to preserving traditional culture in modern era, where people have their own desires which may contradict with the culture. It's a story most family could relate to. For the drama, it's met my expectation, it successfully makes me cry. I was skeptical with the comedy, I always find comedy in movies are cringe. But this one is not, the comedy feels like it's just happened naturally. Even though this movie is more focused on the drama, sometimes I laughed at the funny scenes. There's a lot of Bataknese culture showed in this movie. The beautiful views of Toba Lake made this movie even more better.

I enjoyed it a lot. Really a worth try!

After watching this film, I went home with a very satisfied heart because the film really exceeded expectations. A very good family drama film, there are so many lessons to be learned from this film.

Even though the film is about the Batak family, I'm sure the film will relate to almost all families.

Big respect to the director and all the cast. Thank you for this very emotional movie.
