A reimagining of the great gory series (Marvel Zombies) sounds like an amazing idea. Unfortunately, we live in a post Endgame universe where legacy characters are few and far between, incompetent writing is the new normal, and anticipation for new projects is laced with low expectations. Marvel Zombies (2025) is no exception. This show suffers from jokes in between worse dialogue spoken by empty characters, a plot with countless holes and inconsistencies (if we are to accept that we are continuing this story from the awful What If episode that inspired this show), and incoherent pacing that does not incentivize watching the next episode. The animation is... okay. It ain't amazing, and it's not entirely garbage either. This show leaves so much to be desired that it's simultaneously disappointing and embarrassing. It's clearly a project that Marvel has been sitting on for at least a few years, as it features Blade as the new Moon Knight (which is honestly the coolest part of the show). Why they keep pretending anyone is actually following or gives one ounce of shit about the current stage of Marvel baffles many fans of everything before stage 3.
Just don't watch, use your time wisely. Disney is the real virus that decays any franchise it comes into contact with. Don't give them any more reason to reanimate any more classic stories with their awful execution.

The story has interesting ideas and ambitions, but unfortunately, Kamala-who serves as the protagonist-is written in a way that feels overly naive and out of place. In a dark and complex narrative, a character so idealized, always positive and striving to be the moral center, clashes with the tone. Thankfully, the show isn't completely ruined, but they will need to either reconsider the choice of protagonist or significantly rethink her portrayal to make the story truly compelling.
Marvel *did not* hold back!
This series goes full TV-MA, with zombified heroes getting absolutely wrecked - blood, guts, and savage takedowns left and right. It's basically Marvel finally letting the gloves come off, and it's a gorefest fans have been screaming for!
Got serious comic vibes, too. Unexpected crossovers everywhere (like Blade rocking Moon Knight moves, Kamala leading the squad, and Spider-Man going full web-head decapitation mode), plus wild team-ups and power mashups you'll never see in regular MCU. Feels like the writers just grabbed random hero cards and said "Let's smash!" - pure fan service, but in the best way.
And that ending? Bro, they hit us with a reality-glitch cliffhanger that's total Phase 6 chaos. Kamala and Wanda's mind games are next level, and season 2 is practically begging for a comeback.
If you ever wanted actual Marvel carnage, this is it. R-rated, loaded with Easter eggs, bananas character moments (rip to a ton of OG heroes), and somehow still a blast. Excelsior, Marvel maniacs - this ain't kiddie pool stuff, it's the real zombie apocalypse we deserve.

Marvel Zombies is an adaptation that has a small selection of positive highlights and a burdensome collection of flaws. The show is the strongest in its first episode, with its uncertainty making it a highlight. The show's inclusion of humor is frustrating. The frequency of it particularly affects the overall tone and experience. The dialogue felt unnatural at times and especially when humorous moments were forced. The story is laden with some dull moments that diminish interest. Besides that, there are some plotholes and missed opportunities within the show. The positive elements include some emotional moments, the action/gore, and general uncertainty at times. If you like marvel and zombies give it a chance, but don't expect an exceptional story.
Binged it, it began alright, great potential. Each episode is better than the previous one. And I enjoyed everything. But when it ended it made me feel as nothing changed lol, as if I was back to the first ep. The end was better to have a conclusion.
I didn't regret watching it! All episodes are good so it was a fun watch.

- QuizBryan Andrews admitted Blade was included because the animation crew thought his film would've been released before the show's release. The film is still delayed indefinitely.
- BlooperBeings though the continuity, apart from how the virus started is the same as the mcu. Thor should have his replacement eye when he appears as he recieved it during Infinity War when he met the Guardians of the Galaxy and he teleported to earth with Stormbreaker, Rocket and Groot. In the series he still only has one eye.
