You will really enjoy that movie at least better than movies these days! Vicky Kaushal proved that he is a versatile actor and comic timing is as good as his serious performances. You gonna love Mrs Malhotra's(;)) performance as well.

Pace of the movie was also good. You gonna stick to the screen whole time.

I believe they could also release that movie in theatres but anyhow they released it on OTT so enjoy it in your leisure.

If you watch Bijli song you gonna think its Shahid Kapoor who choreographed that song. Only actor who can do Govinda's role as good as Vicky is Shahid Kapoor.

Enjoy this movie and ignore negative comments.

A Story with Predictability....3/5 ⭐

Plot of the Movie

Vicky playing the titular role is going through various issues of abusive wife, step brother torture, career issue. Then a murder happens and that turns Govinda's life.

Analysis...

1) Vicky Kaushal from his serious portray roles in Uri , Raazi , here we could see a guy in a fun mode. The local mumbai dialect delivery was quite interesting

2) Kiara Advani had given a notable performance.

3) Bhumi' s performance doesn't offer anything new. Moreover, her screen presence was also less.

4) When movie reaches to its last 30 minutes, predictability triggers & then just wanted to watch to get the answer of "HOW"??

5) Govinda Naam Mera offers laughter from Renuka Shahane ( govinda's mother) , Amey Wagh ( govinda's friend).

Decision to release on a streaming platform was good.

Govinda naam mera is a surprise package. Watched it with least expectation but it went on to become a great entertainer. Had fun watching a movie after so long. Shashank Khaitan's crisp & tight screenplay was tremendously engaging, though his cameo wasn't. The story is a winner with all its twists and turns. But the biggest takeaway from the movie was Vicky Kaushal, such an effortless actor with an incredible comic timing, the guy is a sheer entertainer. He should definitely try this genre more. Thank God Varun Dhawan was not selected for this role. Special mentions Amey Wagh, Bhumi Pednekar, Daya & Tripti. Kiara Advani's dialogue delivery was a bit eerie. Rest it's a Great watch altogether!

When creators of this content gradually killed the buzz of this movie, left alone in the abyss of disdain for gaining nothing. When reviews were bombing like the frequent claps of joyful child.

I just sat in this same scale of perishing cold night today, just to earn my precious yawn for my sleep and stop watching in between somewhere and put myself in the much needed relief. And hopefully forget about the bitter memory of this very junk like a regular drunk. As this was the case for the major releases of Bollywood in OTT platform for quite sometime.

But Alas!.. I was gradually engaging, gags of laughs coming out of no where. I can predict the story but I want to watch how it unfolds through the great performance of every performer. The screen tightly gripped me as I was ready to forfeit.

Renuka Shahane..What a performance yaar. I watched Kiara no better work than this. Vicky was as good as always.

This movie was no where near a perfect comedy, nor thriller, nor action. But it was a perfect Bollywood movie that I grown up on.

Or maybe I lost hope and found a fake crystal thinking its a diamond.. But thanks for the trick, it worked on me out of no where.

Vicky Kaushal's performance is brilliant. He is all over and his family the Waghmare.

While Watching it'll remind you many movies but you'll lose.

First movie makes you into the zone of the storyline and than its turn to the twist and turns.

All characters are well placed and performed.

I am not here to give spoiler.

The way of Storyline is Good that hooked you till the end.

Songs are negligible, I liked one.

Brilliantly written you'll not get the clue what's going on.

The whole work is appreciable

I must say it's a refreshing must weekend watch.
