This story didn't quite develop in the way I expected, so it kept me intrigued.
The build up to the twist was at a slower pace, but it didn't become uninteresting.
Rebekah Kennedy has a magnetism about her that pierces through in every role that she plays, and her versatility is impressive.
Sean O'Bryan was compelling and strong in his performance as well. The two actors have terrific chemistry.
The cinematography was ominous and beautiful. I always appreciate the use of intense color and light contrasting in film. The green filter was a pleasant touch to create a more sinister energy.
It was overall a good film. A mysterious and hopeful tale about absolution.

An enjoyable moody mystery about a retired priest who regrets not helping a girl 40 years ago. It's a slow burn character study about wishing to change the past and by some magic of the celestial stars he gets to change his past. There are some jump scares but it's not a horror movie. It's an emotional drama about two people who crossed paths by chance and the priest was too scared to help her at that time but gets a chance at redemption. It's part sci-fi mystery drama that's worth a watch and is only an hour long so pacing is perfect. Watch it for the cinematography and acting. Well done for a low budget single location drama.
I have no idea who are writing the overflowing positive reviews for this film if they are somehow involved in the production or have ties with Rebekah Kennedy, but it's safe to say that we saw two different movies.
The positive thing about the movie is the scenery, and lighting. The acting is OK, a bit over the top at some parts, but OK overall.
The movie is a bit slow with things getting interesting at the 40 minute mark, not good for a film that's just over an hour long. Once things pick up, you can quickly piece together what's going on and that there's going to be a "Twist" ending which you see a mile away. With harder work on the story, I think this film would have been better and not full of itself in my honest opinion.

This movie is very captivating and spooky! Rebekah Kennedy shines, move over Christina Ricci and Danielle Harris and make room for another scream queen! Sean O' Bryan also holds the story very well as a man who has been hoping for a second chance. It keeps the audience hanging on with so many questions, who is she, where did she come from, what's with the lights in the sky, why does she keep running from a man who just wants to help her?
If you are in the mood for a film that keeps you guessing with a lot of eerie mystery and a twist ending you never would guess, you cannot go wrong here!!!!!

This is a very clever film which slowly draws you in to an increasingly complex midnight mystery. What starts out as an apparently simple case of a young Amish girl lost in the woods, possibly fleeing something or someone, winds through layer after layer of suspense where initial mis-steps or phrases mis-spoken are actually keys to unlocking a deeper mystery of time and space. This one is like a set of Matrioska dolls, a puzzle inside of a riddle inside of an enigma. The further you go, the deeper the mystery gets. What you thought you were watching turns out not to be the mystery or the problem at all. Rebekah Kennedy is wonderful as the lost Amish girl and the story just sucks you in. If you liked Coherence, Primer or Triangle then you'll love this one.
