Kanojo wa Kirei datta

Japanese Drama "Konojo wa Kirei datta" is a fun short drama with a cute romance.

And sure the love triangle didn't pay off (especially compared to the original Korean Drama), but the main love story was sweet and wasn't overburdened with unnecessary drama. Rather, it was kept clean and enjoyable. The misunderstandings were fun to watch and the office drama was a nice touch, without overshadowing the main story. However, the most interesting part was the friendship between the girls that was sweet and had its ups and downs, but felt more realistic because of them. It also helped with the character development as well. Unfortunately, there were some parts that were rushed and didn't feel as smoothly developed as others.

As for the performances, they were all great.

So, overall, 6 out of 10. It's a fun, entertaining, light drama.

So far I have watched the original Korean version, the Chinese version with my absolute faved Dilraba and Vin Zhang and this one.

Although this one is the shortest and it does make a good summary of the story without unnecessary dragging like the Chinese version, i am missing a lot of the details, sweet and funny scenes of the Korean version. I found myself comparing them both the whole time and didn't allow me to forget the other one at all. For me one a version can surpass another one when doesn't focus on making it identical but making it its own. This one was too similar, just shorter.

Acting is good and chemistry between the leads was great as well.

One thing it didn't work at all in this version that worked amazingly in both Chinese and Korean ( i had a terrible second male syndrome) was the love triangle. The love interest between the 2ml and the fm wasn't well developed at all in this version.

If you haven't watched the other ones you will love it, it is pretty good, but if you are trying to decide which one to watch, go for the korean, still the best one in my opinion.
