Ricky Velez: Here's Everything

His set has some good stories with really good jokes in them. I didn't like the opening bit so much, but the rest of it was pretty good. Sort of reminds me of Jim Jefferies, who I like a lot - some down-to-earth stories told in a funny way. The best section was later in the show, when he talks about growing up and rich people/poor people. The best parts in there were the ones about pajamas and his grandmother. I'd give that whole section an 8.

I don't know who's drinking the kool-aid in the comments below but this special is outstanding. Tickles to stomach that erupt into bursts of laughter every bit. The stories are relatable and clearly true. This is an underrated special. Anyone who doesn't get it should leave.

We encountered Ricky most recently as the opener at a John Mulaney show. I remembered him from the Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore where, if I'm honest, I didn't find him that funny. I actually turned to my wife and said, I don't love this guy. What followed was 5 of the funniest minutes of comedy we've seen. He absolutely killed. Funnier than Mulaney (that night) by a long shot. When we got home we immediately looked him up to see if he'd done any recorded specials and found this. To say he's matured (comedically) since Wilmore's show is an understatement. His comedy now is self-depreciating, silly, and absolutely hilarious. One of my favorite comedians working today, easily. Highly recommend this show.

This comedy special was super entertaining to watch and will make sure to bring you to tears of laughter! Must watch! Ricky talks about so many different experiences that you will find one has to be relatable!

Some mildly amusing stories of growing up poor and marrying well, spoiled by bodily function jokes. He could be good in the future, depending if he takes material from his adult/married life.
