- Mr. Darnell: What if originally Hitler was killed, and someone went back and changed it. Kept him alive. To us, we would remember it as our history, as if it always happened. Many believe that time eventually corrects itself. If Hitler was dead, someone would likely step up and take his place. Thank God, mercifully, we'll never have to test that theory.
- Mr. Darnell: [withholding time travel techniques] This is where I stop. I have given you the gun, let me keep the bullets.
- Mr. Darnell: I didn't even put up a fight. I apologized and watched her walk away.
- Mr. Darnell: Did you love her?
- Mr. Darnell: Yes I did.
- Mr. Darnell: And you just let her go?
- Mr. Darnell: I might not have loved her if she had stayed. How can I respect someone who stayed with someone that couldn't even respect themselves.
- Mr. Darnell: Humankind had acquired all the information it could ever desire, and it was maddening. Once you put the power of God into the people's hands, they don't believe in anything anymore but themselves.
