Two early Adam Sandler movies were his key to finding big screen success. The first was 1995's Billy Madison, in which he played a man who has 24 weeks to graduate grades 1 through 12, and the second was 1996's Happy Gilmore, in which he played a vulgar hockey player who becomes a golf sensation.

From there, he went on to star in a number of prominent movies, including the rom-coms 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer, the dramas Uncut Gems and Hustle, and the Netflix comedies Murder Mystery, Murder Mystery 2, Hubie Halloween, and You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.

The new Netflix feature starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler is set for theatrical release during the prime awards-season corridor.

Director Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly will hit theaters Nov. 14 before it begins streaming three weeks later on Dec. 5. Baumbach helmed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Emily Mortimer, and a first-look image of Clooney in the project can be seen above.

Mortimer co-stars in the film that boasts an ensemble cast of Billy Crudup, Laura Dern, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Riley Keough, Patrick Wilson, Nicôle Lecky, Thaddea Graham, Jim Broadbent, Eve Hewson, Alba Rohrwacher, Lenny Henry, Josh Hamilton and Greta Gerwig.

Rami Malekwill be seen in theaters this Friday in a new kind of action movie in The Amateur, but he’s also been tapped to star in an intriguing movie that’s still lacking an official release date. Malek will feature opposite Russell Crowe and Michael Shannon in Nuremberg, the historical thriller based on the book The Nazi and the Psychiatristby Jack El-Hai. The book and film tell the story of a psychiatrist whose job is to see if Nazis are fit to stand trial for their crimes in World War II. The first images of Nuremberg were released back in May 2024, but release updates on the film have been eerily quiet since. Collider’s Steve Weintraub recently caught up with Malek to talk about his new movie, The Amateur, and during their conversation, Malek praised Nuremberg scribe and director James Vanderbilt while also likening him to another famous writer:

Time to hit the golf course this summer. Happy Gilmore 2 will hit Netflix on July 25, the streamer revealed Tuesday, along with a teaser trailer. "Happy Gilmore returns!" reads the simple logline, but the trailer shows Adam Sandler's iconic character having doubts as he attempts to get back on the links. "I haven't swung a club in years," Happy says. Original cast members Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, and Ben Stiller will return. Franchise newcomers include Travis Kelce, Bad Bunny, and Sandler's daughters Sadie and Sunny. John Daly, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Bryson DeChambeau are among the professional golfers who appear. Sandler wrote the script with Tim Herlihy. Kyle Newacheck, who directed Sandler's Murder Mystery 2, replaces original director Dennis Dugan, who is an executive producer.

We're the Millers was a big success when it came out in 2013. Naturally, New Line Cinema was interested in continuing the story and announced plans for a sequel in 2014, but the movie never happened.

Over a decade since the comedy came out in theaters, none of the actors have an encouraging update about the sequel. The comedy starred Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Will Poulter, and Emma Roberts. In a new interview with People at the SXSW Film & TV Festival to promote his latest film, Death of a Unicorn, Poulter revealed he doesn't think We're the Millers 2 will ever happen.

Speaking about the 2013 film and whether a sequel was in development, the actor said, "Like We're Still the Millers? There was, I think."

However, Poulter continued, "I don't think it's gonna happen. I mean, no one else is [but] I’m too old now. But, yeah, it was a fun time.

Henry Winkler, Sexyy Red, Ty Dolla $ign and Ski Mask the Slump God have joined “Rolling Loud,” an R-rated hip-hop comedy starring Owen Wilson and Matt Rife.

Named after the world’s largest hip-hop festival, “Rolling Loud” is inspired by the true story of an overprotective father (Wilson) who, in an effort to be a cool and favorable Dad, sneaks his 13-year-old son (Convery) into a music fest, setting off a chaotic adventure with his reckless co-worker (Rife) and a quirky festival volunteer (Christine Ko). Together, they navigate wild crowds, security and family dynamics.

Production on “Rolling Loud” is underway in Atlanta. The film is written, directed and produced by American High CEO Jeremy Garelick, who helmed Adam Sandler’s “Murder Mystery 2.” UTA Independent Film Group is representing worldwide rights to the film, which is set for release in 2026.

Winkler is the three-time Emmy winning actor and star of “Happy Days” and “Barry.

Drew Barrymore is taking her Instagram followers on a trip down memory lane to celebrate the 21st anniversary of her beloved rom-com 50 First Dates. On Instagram, Barrymore shared a sweet throwback from the film, featuring co-star Adam Sandler. The 2004 movie, directed by Peter Segal, follows Barrymore's Lucy Whitmore, a woman with short-term memory loss.
