Just finished all 14 episodes in a single go. What a fabulous series based on Gang war.. The character of Madhu bhau(Jitendra Joshi) & Major Arjun Angre(Tanuj Virwani) completely steals the show. Tanuj has superb acting skills and mostly explain everything by his cool gestures.

The storyline keeps bind you till the last episode and after spending 10+ hours to finish part 1... One immediately feel the need of it's sequel. Totally worth for the time you spend and it is free on mx player.

Great mix up of action, drama, comedy & romance! Excellent feature of the series is it shows emotional side of gangster and also shows how much a gangster values his family.

Major disappointment from ektarkapoor is she usually ends up adding intimate scenes even if it's not necessary.

Waiting eagerly for season 2 ❤

What a wonderful web series, drastic change in episode 13 and 14 .

All characters have done their best. One reviewer is there who rated this show 1 star by just watching 2 episodes as it has too much abusive language, he was expecting to learn some yoga skills in a gangster series.

Cartel follows the story of five familygang rivalry. Here are the positives and negatives: Acting:acting is top notch here. Jitendra joshi, supriya pathak, subhrajyoti barat, anil george etc hv given epic performances. But the show goes to rhitvick dhanjani. He has shown a range of acting here. Hothead, aggressive, vulnerable everything is so perfect. The cast has done a stellar job.

Screenplay and script:the writing is superb. Detailed writing and tight screenplay. The screenplay is engaging enough to keep u hooked till last.

Bgm:the bgm is good but irritable. There so many sequences that required silence but there was an overuse of bgm. Specially the middle episodes hv loud music which is irritating.

Family dynamics: this show does this job wonderfully. The family dynamics is well written and portrayed. There r certain sequences which r beautifully done.

Humour:there r many sequences of humour but those r hits and misses. Only jitendra joshi shines in the comic scenes. Others fail miserably. Overuse of bgm killed it too.

Camerawork:the the camerawork is superb. Specially there is one onetake action sequence which is well choreographed and shot.

Cinematography: the cinematography is commendable too. The wide range shots, close up shots work really well.

Length:it is a lengthy show .could hv avoided some subplots.

Overall it is easily one of the best altbalaji shows. I rate it 8 out of 10.

Good story telling, must watch,, want second season.

Have never been a big fan of Ekta Kapoor... but this series has changed my perception. Full credit to the director as well. What a watch.

This is an absolute mediocre and average show. Some people giving it 9 or out of 10 shows the mediocrity and lack of good taste of Indian audience.

I mean whats wrong with this makers?? So much non sense scenes. So much bad words. Aggressive sexual scenes... Left the series at the second episode. A big let down.

Everything is just amazing. After a long time i am satisfied by this series. Everyone's acting place was preciously balanced and mature. Screenplay and the story followed the rule serially as well.

Take 1: Two episodes and you cannot go further. Such poor unconvincing dialogues, pathetic scene setups.

Take 2: Some characters have nailed it and some have failed. Rani mai's hype but to substance could be seen. Abhay's character had unconvincing overtone of the slang. Other powerful gang leaders seemed to be nothing. Character balance was missing. At the same time, Madhu stile the entire series. Major was convincing.

Fantastic storyline and weak execution. Some parts of the series were very good and some pathetic. Rerating from 2 to 6.

Anwar Says : ALTBalaji keep on dropping long crime thrillers and CARTEL is the new drop, a 14 episode long web drama. 1972 Coppola GODFATHER is still in the mind of Indian Directors and you would like this series due to familiar cast and it's super fast pace .

Every episode starts with a murder and in the later part it's story unveils . The top lead Supriya Pathak goes into coma in the very first episode and comes into action at the end of tenth, which is quite late . Tanuj Virwani as Arjun , is the only suave character and carries the episodes successfully on his soldier. His brother Madhu , played by Jitendra Joshi impresses with his comic timing and first act then think approach. Ritwik Dhanjani as Abhay Angrey tried to do aka Anil Kapoor and even shouts ' rawas' quite often as Anil's 'Jhakas'.

In female characters, Monica Dogra as honeytrap has been quite effective . Samir Soni also fits in his cast . Concept of Ekta Kapoor and direction of Prashant Bhagia is crisp and the audience can't resist to switch over to next episode. Background Score carries on with the speed of narrative and dialogues are mostly of mumbaiya style, in consonance with the script. Second season has been already announced by the characters.

Find time to watch the series in three evenings, you won't be disappointed.

Seriously time waster.. you will realise once you finish the past episode.. Same concept, very basic narration and same kind of acting by the stars which you have seen several times.

I loved it I have seen a lot of web series and when ever i started to watch any web series the beginning. Of there were not too good to enjoy but once when I saw cartel it became my favorite among all... and in this my favrite character is arjun as major... I am desperate for the season 2...

The character that showed in "MAJOR"(Arjun) is awesome. Desperately waiting for Season 2, how Arjun will take the Revenge.
