Philippe is a successful executive in an industrial conglomerate, however the pressures of work have lead to him separating from his wife. As he struggles with the demands of his bosses, he must now decide what is important in life.

An executive manager, his wife and his family, at the point when his professional choices are about to overturn all their lives. Philippe Lemesle and his wife are separating, their love irretrievably damaged by pressures of work. A successful executive in industrial conglomerate, Philippe no longer knows how to respond to the contradictory demands of his bosses. Yesterday they wanted a manager, today an enforcer. Now he must decide what his life really means.

Philippe Lemesle's career could be considered a model of success. As one of the top managers of an international industrial group, he has achieved everything: power, status and prestige. But the price he has paid for this is high. His marriage is on the brink of collapse, his relationship with his son is distant and his own health is falling by the wayside. When the top management announces an aggressive restructuring, Philippe goes against his own principles and becomes the mouthpiece of a management that expects unconditional obedience from its employees - even if it costs jobs and therefore livelihoods. Philippe finds himself in a dilemma. The pressure from above is relentless, the unions are rebelling and his own moral integrity is beginning to crumble. At the same time, his wife demands that he finally set priorities - family or career. In the midst of this crisis, Philippe has to decide which path he wants to take: the role of the dutiful manager who bows to the demands of the company management, or that of a man who is prepared to put everything on the line for his convictions.—Arte
