Bowling Saturne

Yes, a pure drama with some criminal elements, an investigation around murders of young woman, brutally beaten and killed. This is a bleak, pessimistic film, but a bit too long for my taste. The director Patricia Mazuy is not a beginner, she makes films since the late eighties actually, so it's nice that she continues after three decades. This story around a bowling and also a feud between two half brothers is finally a pretext to denounce violence against women, animals in wild life surroundings and bullying. Acting not that good, not that convincing but it works after all. Not what I expected although. Dark red photography helps a lot in this bleak atmosphere.
