I watched this movie in a theatre FULL (and when I see full, i mean FULL) of Haitians living outside of Haiti. I have never been in a theater that full. One of the most memorable experiences of my life. I honestly think to truly appreciate, understand and really feel this movie, you have to have lived, and I mean really lived in Haiti. Seen it's beauty, it's challenges, lived the Haitian experience. I was with people I didn't know when I watched this movie but we laughed together, we missed together, and we silently cried together. It wasn't perfect. But it is just what I needed because I felt like it really understood me and my relationship with Haiti. I am thankful it was made, and I am thankful i got to watch it with the people i watched it with. No pretense. Just feeling, aching, loving and laughing.
