Le pavillon des écorchés

The first time I saw this movie was in a short film festival in Brooklyn... And I was astonished. Then, last week, I had the chance to see it again in a little venue in London which played it in front of a very pleased crowd. This film tells the story of a wounded family, a boy and his two sisters who live in a isolated house next to the sea. Alone and with no hope, the drugs and madness are their only way to escape... until something terrible happens. This french thriller is a little diamond of direction and thrills. David Atrakchi (seen in Transporter 3 and Faces in the crowd) is a skillful actor, and the rest of the cast isastonishing. The manierist visuals are strong and beautiful. I really recommend the avid viewer of art-house/euro-horror to check this film if you have the opportunity. It's the kind of film that really sticks in your mind after watching it. LN
