Granny's Sexual Life

There is no information about the time period in which the grandmothers lived (I assume it was right after World War II or maybe even earlier - but most likely the first half of the 20th century). There is no information about where the grandmothers lived (I assume it was some village - that's the impression one gets from the animation). There is no information about what the men were doing when they weren't at home (they were simply returning from somewhere and wanted to have sex). Nothing is said about who supported the household, what the social dynamics were like, or what environment the grandmothers lived in.

Watching something like this from the perspective of a young person living in a world where sex is approached like any other activity rather than as a taboo, one might get the impression that women back then were imprisoned sexual slaves. Without context - which the creators probably omitted deliberately - such a film is propaganda and a harmful distortion of grandmothers' history (not just a few grandmothers from some godforsaken Slovenian mountain village, but grandmothers in general).

Of course, the artist has the right to choose the source, how they present it, what they hide, and what they highlight, etc. But as a viewer, I have the right to point out what I don't like about the film.

And let's not kid ourselves - things like this still happen in various marriages today. :(

Surprising, indecent, not polite. Maybe shocking.

The intime life of our grandmothers . Drawings - more than suggestive, testimonies, photos. But, after the first reaction, the memories about taboos and first sexual lessons and the atmosphere of old houses and the sounds from bedroom in summer vacantions and... .

Not shocking. Only portraits with presumed feministic touch. In fact, pure reality about domination of man, the word of Church about intime life of couples, the advices for tricks offering more easy life, cures for infertility and faces of ladies , reflecting their every day life in more than precise terms.

A short film , for some reasons, just useful as voice from past.
