Unfortunately I have to watch closed captioning because of a little loss of hearing but I could even tell how incredibly inaccurate the closed captioning was. This ranks as one of the worse closed captions I have ever seen.

Here's a simple example of how bad the closed captioning is. Actor really said: "I forgot how fun this is." Closed captioning: "I forgot our funguses."

Other than that, the movie was enjoyable albeit a little predictable.

Yes it's predictable but nevertheless enjoyable. Good acting, a little different script but most of all a good old fashioned love story without sex, nudity, foul language and no blasphemy! What a joy for a change!

I really enjoyed this film. It's about love and food, and love for food. I particularly liked the lead actor who played Christian, and the woman who was the aunt. They were delightful to watch, though the whole cast was good. The story is standard, I think stronger writing would have helped these actors out even more and made this film more of a stand out. But it is still enjoyable to watch. It leaves you with that feeling of warmth.

The acting, directing, and the plot are pretty good, but one thing bothered me so much I couldn't get past it. The chefs never once wore a toque, a cap, or beard covering. It just creeped me out. What is a Christmas chef movie without toques?

A safe folding-laundry movie to have on during the day. But I use captions for everything and they were horrible "If you want to see a great view, you should head on up to the rooftop" read "if you want to see a great view, you don't have to do." Really frustrating.

The story concept was cute. Not too over the top with the romance drama. But the French chef wanted to make me gag, like the food critic. That accent was the worst ever!! I'll give it 5 stars because I actually watched all of it.

We don't want others to feel as tortured as we were, so buyer beware. Enough cheese coupled with bad acting to make you want to throw up. Scripting was predictable as if a teenager wrote. Save yourselves and hour and half of life you'll never get back!

A sweet film. Wonderful performances from the cast all round. Great chemistry with the leads who played Alice and Christian. A real feel good movie. But I really came here for the food, I'm a real foodie. It looked delicious!

This is a so-so rom-com. I am only doing this review to respond to all the reviewers complaining about the closed captioning. I just watched this on tubi and no problems with the CC. This is a standard rom-com with you knowing exactly what's going to happen. The cast was attractive & pleasant.

The concept was cute but this movie has some of the worst acting I have seen in a very long time. The accents were terrible for the various characters. The two main characters should have just gotten jiggy with it in one of the many kitchens they were in. At least that would have been hot. The 6.5 stars is very very generous.

The acting is atrocious. The story is predictable, the music is currently overriding the sound of their voices. I'm finishing this movie, only because I started it, but don't waste your time. Think of a romantic movie ending, and it's that.

*Edit: That french accent is ridiculous and made me want to fight.

There's nothing really new about this plot, but I enjoyed seeing the story unfold for both generations of adults. These movies are often better for having a bit of tragedy in the past, giving more depth and perspective.

I watched this movie as I like what I read from its synopsis. But what the synopsis never tells is how the movie's end result would be like.

The movie had potential, but acting by some of the main characters were wooden at best. The worst by far is by the main male lead. He came across trying too hard to play the part, and trying to look cool, which he didn't accomplished in my opinion. The rest did a good job.

The editing could have been a little better. It just lacked some atmosphere in some areas, and there were pockets moments which I believe were meant to be more intimate but came across being boring instead.

VERDICT: It's not that terrible a movie. If you can ignore the male lead's acting efforts and it's a nice feel-good movie. Perfect for these times.

I liked the consept, the story of 2 different generations falling in and out of love..... but the acting was really poor by everyone!!! Except sef Brett and aunt Daniella...ha ha!!! It was as if they were acting for the 1st time.... and no chemistry between the leading couple.... But i watched it till the end and enjoyed the story which made me hungry....ha ha!

Note : i also like the photography and the scenery!

This film was fun throughout. The chemistry among all the characters were enjoyable with the perfect outcome Our family is hopeful that there will be a sequel to this film in the near future.

Watched it and loved it, they did a good choice with the filming location and the actors too. I personally loved the cooking and the food part it makes me want to travel to the place and explore but unfortunately i dont know the location.
