This show is very beautiful with all the amazing cinematography of Scandinavia, but it's very disjointed, redundant, and quite frankly, inaccurate.
It's all over the place as far as seasons, regions, and animal types. It doesn't work it's way from North to South, nor from Spring to Winter, nor from land to air to sea animals. It's randomly everywhere.
If you took out the tourist hotspot coverage and focused on each animal just once, this series could've been just three episodes. I don't know why they covered five different animals two times each.
And to top it off, there was a couple instances where the info they gave about the animal was inaccurate.
So don't expect to get much of an education out of this, but do expect to be impressed by the scenery.

This is just a 5 series commercial, doesn't go nature in depth, shows tourist hotspots, amateur drone photos and bad narrative. It's probably made with one short-sided focus, attracting tourists, making money and with no concern or respect for nature or the Viking history.
If you're watching this and want to visit Norway, great, it's beautiful, but infrastructure for tourism is not great and you will be walking in queues to these sites. Pack for hiking and bad weather and be prepared for ferry queues and bad bathrooms facilities. There are so many tourist in some of these sites that emergency services is at full capacity due to unprepared tourists. The locals are also getting tired of the tourist invasion due to the lack of infrastructure.

Great filming, unknown and exciting details about the wild Finland, Norway and the rest of the Nordic.
Watch the whole series, 5 episodes. As a native nature lover, there were several surprises and mor to learn.
Shortly, a must watch for nature lovers.

I watched wild Russia and had high hopes for this documentary. But the first episode is mostly just about how Norway is the best country in the world, a lot of references to Vikings. Apparently E V E R Y T H I N G is Viking in Norway. Apart from an Eagle in the beginning, some goats and a flash of a cod and a seagull there are no animals in the documentary. Even when the narrator is talking about cod, it's mostly close-ups of gritty fishermen (and references to vikings). Other than that it's just viking roads, viking buildings, viking people viking doing viking sports, and some (viking) geology. Mostly dudes talking about their passions, and a narrator with the most awkward Norwegian/English accent ever who inserts the word viking in every other sentence. So if you're wondering where to go on vacation it's a great informative commercial. If you want to learn something about the wild nordic... not so much. Oh... did I mention vikings???
Amazing series of episodes that show the beauty as well as harshness of dealing with living in the snow and ice and light/dark conditions of being that far north. I learned a lot about that area of the world that I never knew, and thought the footage of the animals and landscape was fantastic.
Another reviewer said that the show they watched was all about vikings, well that may be true since the first episode is literally titled "Viking Coast", they might mention vikings once or twice.
I also loved the fact that they used a Norwegian actor for the narrator and think he has an incredible voice and could correctly pronounce the Scandinavian names of the locations and people interviewed. I highly recommend this series to anyone who may not be able to travel there but still wants to see the beauty of Scandinavia and all it has to offer. I would love to go there now! I did give it 9 stars only because a few of the lines from one script are also repeated in another, but you'd never notice unless you are watching all of them in a row, which I did.
