No Kidding! Me 2!!

I am currently earning my Masters Degree in Special Education with credential specializing in Emotional Disabilities (ED), and plan on showing this film to my ED kids. Being mentally disabled myself (Bi- Polar Type 2, OCD, PTSD, and General Anxiety Disorder), I think it is so important to show kids that being diagnosed with a mental illness is not a death sentence. It does not mean that you will never succeed in life, it does not mean that you will never have a long term relationship, it does not mean that you will never be a good parent.....it does not mean that you will never feel what it is like to be happy. I have had many teachers already in the field tell me that I should "hide my disability". That mental disabilities are not "looked at in the same way as other disabilities". I am so excited that there are organizations out there like NKM2 that are fighting to end the stigma attached to mental illness. I highly recommend this film to anyone who would like to learn more about mental disabilities, to anyone suffering from a mental disabilities, or anyone with a loved one with a mental disability. Personally, I feel that everyone should see this film! Bravo Joey!

My Nursing in Mental Health class watched this today. As I looked around the room, I was amazed at how many heads were nodding (mine included).

What a wonderful movie. It sheds light on what nearly 100 million Americans suffer in isolation and explores the stigma associated with brain disease. It manages to be wildly entertaining (and funny), informative, deeply moving and very powerful. I was surprised to learn about how veterans are affected by brain disease. I highly recommend this film, I think it would benefit everyone to watch it.

Joe Pantoliano is a true champion for those with Brain Disease.

I was in the movie. I'm Rob Campbell, AKA "Doc",the bipolar, recovering alcoholic and drug addict with ADHD profiled in the film. Amazon.com has me listed as a brain surgeon, but actually I was a heart, lung and vascular surgeon. I'm now a senior psychiatry resident at the University of Louisville,at the age of 60. Making the movie greatly molded my decision to change specialties. My patients who have seen the film,(they frequently show this film to inpatient psychiatry patients,at least around Louisville),love the fact that I'm "one of them". The film has also been shown to medical and nursing students, social workers and psych nurses here in town. Most of the people I've talked to loved the film, although a few, with a stick up their you know whats, thought it was "too humorous a film at times for such a serious subject as mental illness". While shooting, everybody profiled in the film laughed at times about their illnesses and some of the crazy things they had done. You need a sense of humor to really cope with this disease. I had the great pleasure of watching Joey Pantoliano's documentary NKM2 at my old High School in Connecticut in 2009.

It was amazing to watch. Joey really puts his heart into helping those who are mentally ill and his efforts come through in flying colors as the movie progresses. When you rent or buy the film, you'll see for yourself.

This movie will show everyone that every negative can be turned into a positive. Joey had battled for years with mental illness and when he find out his diagnosis, he has gone all out into helping those who's voices are seldom heard in our society.

With moments that will make you laugh and moments that will break your heart, No Kidding, Me Too! is a film that deserves to be seen and I pray everyone comes to realize just how amazing the documentary and Joe Pantoliano himself really is.
