If you're a fan of sci Fi horror and like what Korea has been offering lately ( who doesn't as we're getting some great entries ) then this should please you!.

It's a little slow for the first episode or two but do persevere as it seems to find it's stride, a few things seem to be going on and it's not entirely obvious about why certain people are infected and some are not but it's early days still and this brings a fresh spin on what we're used in this type of series.

Really glad I stuck with it, reminds me Abit of a Korean version of "The Mist" with zombies.."mutants" as they're referred to in the show.

The story in itself is good. It can be a great show. However, I can't stand the facts that the writers set aside logic. People's decisions and actions are just super dumb. The fact that people froze is understandable because of fear (not everyone is a hero). But the rest just lack of common sense. Shut down your brain if you want to enjoy this fully.

Started off good but then decended into the normal thing that happens which is to progress the story u have to have people make stupid mistakes to get the story moving.

One of the slowest-paced 'suspense' kdrama I've seen. You can finish this in 4-5 episodes, tops. How? Keep forwarding/skipping. Trust me you are not going to miss much and you will still get the story figured out in the end. Save yourself time. Or just skip this one altogether.

Korean Drama "Dark Hole" is indeed a dark drama with a thrilling story.

The main plot is about a mysterious dark hole that appears in the middle of a forest, from where a ghostly creature turns everyone into zombie like creatures, while communicating with some of them. The base of the disease is mainly fear, especially the fear of your own demons, while the pandemonium that the new crisis creates is what provides the drama with the horror element. The dynamics of the local communities are tested and the two main heroes shine due to their efforts to bring everyone together.

Unfortunately, and though the drama had plenty of touching and emotional moments, while providing solid backgrounds for every character that appeared in the story, the ending was too sci fi -ish and didn't feat the mood of the drama at all, although that final scene was the touch that was just perfect for a suspenseful thriller like Dark Hole. Still, that ending, along with the CGI, needed to be better.

Other than that, the performances were great by everyone in the cast and the action scenes were perfectly executed. The dark atmosphere was also nailed and suited the story completely.

So, overall, 8 out of 10.

It would have been somewhat fine if they didn't go the sci-fi route and kept it pure mystery/horror with a strong emphasis on escaping the horrors instead of trying to explain it. Even with 12 episodes only it felt long because they didn't do a good job handling the mystery. The cast was fine but nothing special. By and large, I'm not a huge fan of subtitled shows, as I tend to multitask while I'm watching. But this one got me hooked, and I binge watched it in one day. Take Stephen Kings The Mist, throw in the zombie movie 28 days later, and sprinkle a little bit of Stranger Things. Hugely entertaining, left me wanting to watch the next episode every time. Only bug bare is the origin story. A huge sink hole appears out of nowhere, there is lots of back ground TV footage about massive sun flares. But after the first couple of episodes it is never mentioned again.

At first I also didn't wanted to watch this series because of these bad reviews. But after watching first 2 episodes, I knew this show was legit. They picked an awesome story for this show but it has some plot holes. They could've done better. But who cares of plote holes in zombie series right?

If you are bored by watching same flash eating zombie series then this series is just for you. It has zombies and monsters but they don't want to eat peoples flash, instead they want to kill people by hitting them so badly because of their uncontrollable anger. I enjoyed this series so much. I don't know why people made this show flop. For me it was a legit show. Definitely better than netflix all of us are dead and Sweet Home series.

Please I need this drama more. Such an interesting plot and characters.

Please after 12 episodes don't stop, continue it with next season😭

Seems for last few mths-all there been decent to watch is korean awaken/its ok/taxi driver etc etc=but dark hole is good zombies included.

The series are great. Must watch. Nothing is perfect and there's always something people will say. But for apocalypse or zombie movie/series lovers out there, it's all great! Heart thudding and crazy. So try it out.

The director of this movie has a lack of sense of urgency the casts keep hugging and talking even though they are on the chase and there are countless drop weapon scenes.
