LOST BOY is a warm, funny account of how a boy of the 1960s drug, sex, rock n'roll culture changed his course. Sometimes kids get lost in adult battles and Mr Laurie was born to a feisty mom too selfish for a child, more interested in dating and partying. My heart breaks for these kind of kids. They truly are forgotten emotional hotplates left with the burner switch on. I, too, am one. Being saved is not easy to explain. It can happen to anyone; murderers and sinners of any degree. I think "Lost Boy" is an intelligent journey not only in one man's life but also significant to a lost generation. Our LORD GOD sweeps down and lifts up all who are hurting or need the mystery of life answered. Shortly after my own personal salvation, this documentary came out. It gripped me because I think, we all can identify with these truths. I find using this phenomenal tape in discussion of salvation helps the beaten down guy who thinks there is no hope for him! Mr Laurie is the first generation of pastors who emerged from the rebellious kids of the 60s into the Jesus freaks of the future of which I am proud to be one of.

Lost Boy is a fantastic story about how God used Pastor Greg Laurie to proclaim the gospel to millions despite personal hardship and tragedy. It's also one of the best documentaries about the 1960's "Jesus Movement" that emerged from the hippie subculture in Southern California.

Pat Summerall, longtime NFL announcer, narrates the story of Greg and his mother Charlene, a Marilyn Monroe look-alike who battled alcoholism and was married and divorced 7 times throughout her life.

Despite getting into drugs himself, Greg eventually turned to God and found his calling in preaching, teaching and pointing other young people to heaven.

The film also documents the tragic death of Greg's son, Christopher, in an automobile accident in 2008.

Lost Boy delivers an inspiring message of hope and deliverance. I loved it.
