Luli does everything in her power to get a job at Enchant, run by egotistical Jiang Yicheng - including concealing her identity as a woman and attempting to win at a rock climbing wall when she has never climbed before.
Acting as a guy, Luli runs into a few unfamiliar situations. "His" status is raised when his "girlfriend" appears in the lobby. Unfortunately, her godbrother also works there and confronts her about her "boyfriend".
Jiang Zitong visits Enchant but an alarm has been set against her. Luli tries to get out of the team retreat but Yicheng doesn't allow it. Chen Yiming accidentally discovers Luli's gender but tries to protect her.
The programming team is punished by having to wear women's clothes for a day - Luli looks beautiful and it bothers Yicheng. Yicheng chases Koala girl but she gets away. Yiming runs into her and expects an explanation.
Yiming becomes a confidant, co-conspirator and comrade. While trying to figure out how to persuade her mother to let her keep her job, Luli enlists Yiming. Yicheng, meanwhile, has figured out her deception.
Yicheng plots to reveal Luli's deception. He gives her 7 days to finish her work before she has to leave. In the meantime, his mother decides to meet her and has plans of her own.
Mrs Jiang goes to see Luli's mother, even though she is an old rival from her schooldays. Inviting them to dinner, she arranges for a compromising situation to push marriage on Luli and Yicheng.
Yincheng wakes up to find that he is getting married whether he likes it or not. He challenges Luli and she confounds him. He finally agrees but only under certain conditions, including secrecy.
Yicheng reveals some of his layers but later sees a familiar figure which causes him to forget a date with Luli, who made a reservation at a fine restaurant. He denies her request for a wedding ring.
Li Man surprises Yicheng and Yimeng at the office as a client. Yicheng refuses to work with her and kisses Luli in front of her to make a point. The office reacts. At dinner, Luli sees an embrace. Yimeng comforts Luli.
Lu Li avoids Yicheng but spends time with a colleague even taking him to the hospital. While looking around at her colleagues ailments, she comes up with an idea for development. Li Man is persuaded to stay her course for the time being.
Yicheng challenges Lu Li to develop her idea. She puts all her energy into it. Lu Li discovers how his parents coerced Yicheng into the marriage. Zitong is bribed to lure the couple to a romantic getaway.
Yicheng and Lu Li spend the rest of the day together but get nervous when they find out they have the honeymoon suite that Zitong arranged. Zitong throws herself at Yimeng. They try jewelry-making.
Yicheng finds out the truth about the incident 3 years ago. He is called away when a friend lands in the hospital. Yiming flees when Zitong comes to the company so Zitong takes Lu Li shopping.
Old Ape's wife is in the hospital. Lu Li tells off Robot Gu for his interference in Xiaoqi's life. Li Man flexes her influence over Yicheng in front of Lu Li.
Li Man proves to be more formidable than Lu Li expected. She does her best to drive wedges of doubt wherever she can. Yicheng drunkenly rejects her in favor of his wife, but Lu Li can't be sure. Li Man interferes in her work as well.
Lu Li's relationship woes result in a brilliant idea for a game. The code disappears the day of the deadline. Xiaoqi seeks a breeding mate for her Momo. Yincheng asks for a favor from his father.
Mr. Jiang grants Yicheng's favor which gives Lu Li 12 more hours to submit her demo. Li Man continues interfering. Lu Li believe Yicheng in lying. Zitong lends Lu Li some money but then extorts her brother.
Yicheng takes Lu Li shopping as they get ready for Moon Festival. Zitong's injury is cared for by Yiming. Yicheng, Li Man, Lu Li, Old Ape and Yiming all visit the hospital for different reasons.
Lu Li quietly makes her rounds to say goodbye. Having reached her limit, she asks Yicheng for a divorce. Li Man overhears about their divorce and thinks it's a boon. Yicheng searches for Lu Li but can't find her.
Out of desperation for his friends, Yiming tells Yicheng to log into his account on the first game he ever made. It is only then that he begins to understand Lu Li.
Lu Li finds a job and settles into her new, isolated life in Chongqing. Yicheng throws himself into work but hasn't given up on finding her. They cross paths in Chongqing.
Xiaoqi's mysterious Mr Ye is revealed. Yicheng gets caught by security for banging on Lu Li's door. Momo has her kittens. Zitong enlists Yiming to go to Chongqing with her to find out who Yicheng has been seeing.
Yicheng asks for forgiveness and his wish is granted. Lu Jingwen keeps himself between Lu Li and Yicheng. Zitong and Yimeng are caught spying. Gu Mo tries to make Xiaoqi jealous. It works.
Zitong punches Jingwen. Yicheng confesses his love but Lu Li can't be sure. Yezi confesses acting with Gu Mo to Xiaoqi. Yicheng learns about the pregnancy but Jingwen claims it.
Gu Mo and Xiaoqi are found out. Yicheng brings in some familiar faces to help Lu Li settle her nerves. Lu Li agrees to move back home with Yicheng. Yiming gives Zitong hope. A rival company stirs the pot.
