Robin Williamsis still known as one of our greatest comedic actors. His work spans genres, decades, and everyone you talk to has a different favorite film of his. One that is a bit harder to find is Jakob the Liar, a World War II dramatic comedy. Now, the film, which had been nearly impossible to watch for quite some time, is now streaming online! Williams stars as Jakob — a Jewish shop owner who hears of the Soviet army making moves right before he is taken to a Nazi ghetto where he is made a prisoner. What he learns gives hope to those in the ghetto with him, allowing them to have a bit of happiness, and Jakob lies to keep that hope alive.

The highly anticipated Japanese music drama Glass Heart just premiered on Netflix on July 31. The series is also accompanied by the release of an equally anticipated soundtrack by the fictional band Tenblank. Featuring ten original songs, the album is now available for streaming globally.
Based on the best-selling novel by Mio Wakagi, Glass Heart stars Takeru Satoh as lead vocalist Naoki Fujitani. The series follows a group of young musicians navigating the highs and lows of the competitive music industry. Known for his past music-related roles in Beck and The Liar and His Lover, Satoh not only stars but also co-produces the series and performs a song.
What elevates the soundtrack of Glass Heart is the addition of some of Japan’s best contemporary musicians. The feature song, Crystalline Echo, is performed by Satoh and written by Yojiro Noda of Radwimps. Fans might already recognize Radwimps for their work on...

A well-known actor has admitted that he was fired from his guest spot on Darren Star's hit Netflix comedy show, Emily in Paris. First premiering on Netflix on October 2, 2020, the show has run for 4 seasons, and has been renewed for Emily in Paris season 5. The show stars Lily Collins and is one of her most well-remembered roles.
While facing some controversies, including one concerning the problematic portrayal of a Ukrainian character, the show has still proved to be a hit with audiences and has modestly positive reviews from critics. The series consistently crawls its way into Netflix's top 10 list every time a new season is dropped.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Rupert Everettrevealed that he was let go from his guest role on Emily in Paris after appearing in the fourth season. Everett informed the outlet that it was implied that he could return for season 5 of the hit comedy show,...

Warning: This article contains Spoilers for Before!
Apple TV+'s Before includes very few songs in the soundtrack, making them all the more impactful and meaningful when they do appear. The psychological thriller follows the mysterious connection between a child psychologist and widower named Eli and a troubled young boy in the foster care system named Noah. After its release, the Billy Crystal show received extremely divided responses, with critics almost unilaterally debasing the show as boring, slow, and repetitive. The only part of the show they appreciate is Billy Crystal, the lead member of the cast in Before.
However, viewers were much more positive about Before, praising the slow-burn pacing and central mystery. One element that wasnt been discussed much by either group is the soundtrack of Before. The reason this has been all but ignored is because there are almost no songs in the Apple TV+ original show,...

2024 was a big year for Song Kang between My Demon and the final season of Sweet Home, but his next K-drama role should be very different from characters like Gu-won and Hyun-su. After three years of waiting, Sweet Home returned for a second season on December 2023, allowing viewers to finally revisit Song Kangs Cha Hyun-su. A week before that, My Demon had premiered on Kst, with new episodes arriving every week on Netflix. My Demon concluded on January 20, 2024, with Sweet Home season 3 arriving six months later on July 2024.
With two hugely popular shows coming out around the same time over the past year, Song Kang confirmed his Son of Netflix status. My Demon was one of the best K-dramas of 2024, and while the final two seasons of Sweet Home werent as good as the first, the horror K-drama remained popular. Sweet Home's cast features Song Kang and other popular K-drama stars. The show introduced new characters in season 2 and revisited old ones in season 3. Song Kang, Go Min-si, Lee Do-hyun, and other key actors play significant character roles.
Sweet Homes cast is led by Song Kang and includes a lot of fan-favorite actors and rising K-drama stars. A year after its first original Korean series, Love Alarm, Netflix released Sweet Home. The big-budget K-drama based on a webtoon brought Song Kang, who had starred in Love Alarm, in the leading role of Cha Hyun-su. Since then, the list of K-dramas available on Netflix has only grown, with Song Kang in particular starring in several series that are currently available on the streaming platform.
Sweet Homes original cast mostly consisted of characters from the webtoon, such as Hyun-su and Eun-hyeok. However, the show also featured a couple of original names like Yi-kyung.

On March 26 1969, on a quiet country road outside Biloxi, Mississippi, John Kennedy Toole took his own life. Aged just 31, the literary professor and author left behind two unpublished novels. Over the course of the next decade, Toole’s grieving mother Thelma dedicated her life to ensuring the second of these, “A Confederacy Of Dunces,” found publication. Eventually, she succeeded, and the New Orleans-set picaresque tale of slovenly philosopher and medievalist Ignatius J. Reilly went on to sell over two million copies and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1981, making Toole one of only three writers to win the prize posthumously.
Almost as much as the book itself, readers were intrigued by the unique journey the novel took to publication, with a flamboyant yet grief-stricken mother dedicating what remained of her life to ensuring her son’s genius was recognized by the world.

Exclusive: Asa Butterfield should have been shooting Season 3 of Sex Education when he sat down with Deadline last month, but like so many other things, the Netflix hit series has been put on ice by coronavirus. His loss was our gain.
Netflix has a hopeful August shoot date, but in the meantime, London-based Butterfield has been occupying himself reading scripts, building a videogame, devouring Mad Men, and writing his first TV script. Perhaps it’s no surprise that a man who has been busy all of his life has remained productive during lockdown.
Butterfield has been on our screens since he was eight years old, starting out on British TV shows like Ashes To Ashes, he soon found himself leading two features in the shape of The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas and Martin Scorsese’s Hugo. Since then, he has worked with the likes of Harrison Ford on Ender’s Game...

If you've been analyzing True Detective season three frame by frame like we have, chances are you've noticed a familiar face. No, we're not referring to Oscar winner Mahershala Ali. We're actually talking about one of our favorite breakout stars, Brandon Flynn.
Our beloved reformed bad boy from 13 Reasons Why has been popping up in the third season of the crime show, and we think there's a possibility he might be around for a few more episodes. Flynn plays Ryan Peters, a teenage boy who hangs with a troublesome crowd. On the day Julie and Will Purcell go missing, witness testimony reveals Peters and his two friends crossed paths with the two children. Following the children's disappearance, Peters is brought in for questioning, and he is interrogated about his Black Sabbath T-shirt (to determine his interest in the occult). While Flynn is only listed in the first two episodes of True Detective on IMDb,...
