Not sure what happened or going on with Mr Willis, but from last 2 years his movies are terrible . Third class acting ,poor movie quality and unwatchable.
In a certain year, that was a breaking point.
Before that, the name Bruce Willis was a guarantee of quality action movies; after that, the name became a guarantee of a movie's necessarily poor quality.
A sigh...

From our last month's installment of Fortress, nothing has really changed in American Siege.
We still have writer and director Edward Drake responsible for yet another Willis-Drake disaster. Maybe Drake has something on Brucey, or they're related, because this flop-film duo are responsible for Apex, Cosmic Sin, Breach, and we have two more upcoming flops from this disaster duo.
Once again, Drake gives us a predictable, cliched, convoluted and sloppy screenplay, riddled with plot and technical issues, along with the atrocious "I hope there's no aliens" type dialogue. Even the sets this time were hilarious - opening a huge vault door, going down the stairs to a basement bigger than a high school gymnasium, that also has a high barn roof with daylight coming in from the exhaust fans. Clearly, the set and location manager didn't understand the assignment. His directing was just as bad with unnecessary nostril close-ups, 1980's slow-mos, and long dragged out and unnecessary scenes. The acting by most was decent, especially Anna Hindman and Cullen G. Chambers - obviously not Brucey, as he once again looked like the most inexperienced, loud and expressionless actor of them all, just grunting his lines in between drinks. He was just there for the paycheck. The cinematography was bland, but the score was surprisingly fitting and proper, unlike the typical loud, constant, unfitting and annoying B film scores. Thankfully the 90 min runtime flew by with some decent pacing.
It's a very generous 3/10 from me, all mostly going to The Great One's wife and son, Janet Jones and Trevor Gretzky for their compelling performances. Tune in for next month's installment of yet another "Brucey's Monthly Lousy Movies" review of Gasoline Alley, coming to your nearest discount VOD provider real soon.

Bruce Willis has 11 movies.....ELEVEN....movies in post production so far for 2022 and the year hasn't even started. He's turning them out faster than a day laborer.
American Siege, no different than the rest. Worse maybe. 1 day or less of work, then on to the next stinker.

Another really bad Willis Thriller!!!
Yes i know Willis is not well so I'm not gonna bash his performance because the action legend isn't himself anymore & is really ill. It was nice to have Willis in a more main role than most of his cameo bit parts he usually gets but of course he's not up to scratch & is Sleepwalking through it but i understand why.
The film itself is simply so LIFELESS!!! With or without Willis the film is dull & boring.
Willis has been decent in other low-budget flicks such as Trauma Centre & Anti Life.

So much for holding oneself accountable.
All his scenes were shot in 1 day.
I don't know who he owes money to, bookies or perhaps black mailers.
At this point I don't think any serious director will hire him anymore.

(Look at the breakdown, 56% of all reviews gave it 10 / 10 )
Whole movie took 8 days and Bruce Willis did all his scenes in 1 day. It shows . Movie smacks of "no one cares" about it, wants to do the bare minimum and go home.
Its a shame these old actors don't go out with some sense of dignity.

You could say the word trash a million times and yet the trash in this mess will not get cleared.
Bruce Willis.. from a real action movie like Die Hard to being now being a non actor in a C grade movie with other C grade non actors. What a come down.

What story?
The acting was terrible Just a slow, painful way to waste an hour and half of your life.
Why is Bruce Willis doing this crap? Surely he's rich enough to retire if they don't offer him decent parts in decent movies?

Apparently not everyone reads the news but BW health is in bad shape. He has been diagnosed was a type of dementia that is making hard for him to remember lines etc. So yes the studio's reduce his lines so he can do them. Yes the movies produced are terrible but it's money in his pocket for his family.
It's awful to think our John McClane days our over.

The good: great supporting actors in this movie. Enough shootouts to stay thrilled. Eye for an eye spirit. YEAH.
The bad: Bruce Willis made 9 movies in 2021. That's a lot. Some of these movies tend to not be as great as we (Bruce Willis fans) hoped. And although American Siege is one of the better ones, there is room for improvement, to put it politely. So dont expect Die Hard...
At an (excrucially) important sidenote, let us not forget WHY we are watching Bruce Willis movies to begin with. We watch Bruce Willis movies because of DIE HARD (1988). THE ONE AND ONLY BIGGEST ACTION AMERICAN ACTION CLASSIC OF THE CENTURY.
This classic is still standing strong after more than 30 years. Millions of people still REwatch it during every Christmas holiday. Recently a petition was launched to rename Nakatomi Plaza into DIE HARD plaza.
A life time achievement award for Bruce Willis is in the making.
DIE HARD (1988) NEVER DIES but is still ALIVE AND KICKING IN 2022. Happy New Year!

When will directors learn that the handheld camera / shaky action thing is just plain annoying - please, just invest in a tripod - oh, and a story. Bruce Willis does what he does best though, nothing useful.

Recycled plot.
Wooden acting by Bruce Willis, whose complete disinterest is heard in every word he says.
Unlikeable characters.
Garbage dialogue and storytelling.
If I could have given this film ) stars I would have.
Don't waste your time.

This film is dross, Bruce Willis has entered into the realms of Nick Cage, turning out for any old script that pays.
Least Nick gives out the sporadic lil gem here and there.

Bruce Willis back at it again with chitty chitty bang bag.
Small town, everyone knows each other and drama that needs to be solved.
The movie is weak due to its story, characters, camera work, decoration, choice of clothing and most importantly it seem to be shot in a day cause the sunlight for hours is not realistic.
Most reviews blaming the characters, but this is not Bruce Willis or any other cast members issue.

Can you give zero? Utter rubbish. Poor script, nonsensical story and pretty much uniformly badly acted (although even against stiff competition Bruce Willis still stands out as hopeless). Clearly another 'ear piece' performance by the once great action hero (and the star of arguably the best action movie ever). So sad.
Not going to give a synopsis because it doesn't deserve one and nothing I can say will portray just how bad it is. Just don't bother (it is not even ironically bad).

There is less than 15 minutes of action scenes, the rest is all about boring chit chat, you'll regret wasting 1 hour and 30 minutes of your life, the only i liked is the 2005 ford gt that's all.

I have followed and admired many Bruce Willis movies but recently most of his movies have become junk. And this is such a waste of time.
The script is so old you know the storyline after 10 minutes into the story. The acting and directing is also disappointing to watch. Do not watch this movie.

This film plays like it was shot at someone's house and backyard over a weekend, and it kind of was in a way.
The film was shot in 8 days. On a 10 million budget. I bet about a quarter of it went to Bruce Willis, who shot all of his scenes in one day.
I am sure people will be curious to see it, now that it has been revealed that Bruce Willis has aphasia, I'm sure people will watch this out of curiosity.
It's a very terrible watch otherwise, with a nonsensical plot, terrible acting, and poor special effects. This one's just for those who are fans of Bruce Willis.

I wasn't sure what to think when I saw that Bruce Willis was releasing yet another movie, but I am glad I decided to watch this. Bruce's character is not his most impressive work, but Grace Baker had me quickly searching "Anna Hindman" to see what else I could watch her in. This was her first film and I'm hoping to see her in more soon. Great film and will recommend to friends.

What the hell are with the haters here? I doubt they watch the film. This is one of the good Bruce movies!
Strong story, smart characters, southern accents, solid action...
Strong story, smart characters, southern accents, solid action...
Nothing better than another Grindstone production, where Bruno comes in for a day and shoots all his scenes in one afternoon. That said, this story has some meat to it. Ty Gretzky was decent, and looks like him Mom...who also probably filmed her scenes in a day. In fact, Od bet on it (for those who know what that means, enjoy!!)
I didn't enjoy the character who was the female villain. An young actress from CT, who had a terrible fake Southern accent. Overall, the film was shot in 8 days, so the scenes are tight and likely filmed very close to one another. This was MUCH a better than expected.

Why does Bruce agree to these movies? This is embarrassing. Must be difficult getting gigs these days lol. I don't recommend this to my worst enemy...

In light of his medical condition, this could very well be one of Bruce Willis' last films. It certainly should be director Edward Drake's last!
The acting is completely abysmal. The script is horrible and really goes nowhere. But in Drake's defense, even the best acting couldn't save that writing.
I rarely don't finish a film, it's just how my brain is wired, but with this one, I really had to force myself to watch until the end. It's so sad that films like these are going to be Bruce Willis' legacy.
