This is a very distressing and sad South Korean short film based on a true story that I wasn't familiar with before watching. It might've helped to know some of the context going in, but the film does still clue you in on what's happening at a certain point.

It boils down to two parents who are desperate for justice for their teenage daughter, who took her life after being the victim of a horrific crime... only no one wants to believe the parents that the crime was committed. It condemns the police for being disinterested and the high-school perpetrators of the crime for keeping silent and not being honest.

There's a blunt simplicity to it, once the main premise becomes introduced, but it remains effective thanks to the acting and some of the presentation choices. I say some, because I do feel like something was missing. It was also difficult to work out some of the creative choices, but that could be on me (and I'm sure it would've helped if I spoke Korean).

But it worked overall and packed a decent punch for a film that's only half an hour long. It's hard to recommend to all because of how heavy and downbeat it is, but it's a good showcase of the power a short film has to put forth an important point in a direct manner, and with no distractions.

Touching can be more easy term to define it. A film about death and the answer, naif, simple and not verz inspired, at first sigh, answer of the parents. Well crafted, profound in admirable manner.
