I was not sure if I watch the series because Mx didn't released any quality movie earlier.but I gave it a try watched 15 minuites and realise it is different.Akash gave his full potential.excellent direction and screenplay.everybody acted well.Great watch.

Noice story. Noice cinematography. Noice Acting by leads. A bit overacting by others. If you are fan of ranvir shorey and akshay oberoi. Just do it then. I did it. 9 Hour spent well.

What an incredible storyline and acting by all. Except some of people (very few) mismatched in casting, everything about the show was superb. Getting even a glimpse of thought of breaking bad while watching it is an achievement for this show. Few hiccups like putting extra efforts on some non justified English Dialogues get totally overwhelmed by a truly honest effort by all actors and creators of the show. Best casting - Pakiya, Munna, Shiv. Totally non justified and bad casting - Jimmy.

And Ranvir Shorey - What a masterpiece of acting.

Over all a superb show and a must watch.

My friend recommended to watch this series . I did not have the app, downloaded and binged watched it yesterday . Really loved the show . Great DIRECTION and SCREENPLAY . Loved the BGM also especially the rap part . AMAZING CINEMATOGRAPHY

Mind blowing CASTING This series has amazing cast . I think all the characters justified their roles pretty well. Pakhya , Munna , lakda , Jimmy the best of all .Lot of new interesting characters in the other scenes too.

What an amazing treatise on Indian drug laws and what can happen if you challenge the system. Must watch.

Initially I was not sure about to watch the series, but after 1st episode I completely indulged into it. Shaken about discovering the links those we usually sees around us every day. Very good casting and direction. Love you all and waiting for S2.

they tried a different version of drugs and it is working well in a positive way

akshay acted and carried really well till the end

the series contains 9 episodes which are not prolonged and are gripping with a sensible story

ranvir has done a excellent job followed by nakul and others

it is pictured in good locations like jungles villages and towns with good editing

the direction is also good as it made good sync between the past and the present and merged accurately all the characters with their different stories

did not lead to 10 stars because it showed the way for 2nd season which in my view doesn't work as it takes nearly a year to release thus fades the memory of season 1 as now the ott platforms are loaded with new series every week

High is an engaging drug drama that rides high on a fresh concept, treatment and performances. The shows plays out more like a drama than a thriller. It is an insight into the world of drugs which includes drug addicts, drug mafia and pharmaceutical companies. It also sheds light on journalism of the present day where real news and stories that matter take a backseat while sensationalism and politics take over. The show starts with a group of scientists in the 70's doing research on a native plant that is being anticipated to be a game changer. The extract of this native plant seemingly possessed healing powers for alzheimers & other neurological disorders. Cut to the present day we see Shiv living life of a drug addict haunted by his troubled past. An overdose leads him to a research & rehabilitation center where he is treated by a team of three doctors and his life changes completely after being given a magical drug/compound on a trial basis. Later the center is in a dire need of money and Shiv comes up with a plan to help them. All hell breaks loose as they are subsequently caught in a web of drug mafia & pharmaceutical companies. Though the story primarily revolves around Shiv there are parallel stories running of a drug lord, an assassin hired by a pharma & a journalist looking for a groundbreaking story. Every episode starts with a flashback to the 70's and then cuts to the present time. Director Nikhil Rao scores full marks for a fine execution of a fresh idea that is more relevant than ever. He is ably supported by an excellent cinematography that captures the mood perfectly, a terrific background score & superb performances. Akshay Oberoi & Ranvir Shorey steal the show with their meatier roles. Both are shown to have a troubled past and they deliver outstanding performances. This is Oberoi's best performance till date. The other cast that deserves a mention here is Kunal Naik as the menacing drug lord, Mrinmayee Godbole as the journalist, Prakash Belawadi as Dr. Roy, Shweta Basu Prasad as Dr. Shweta & Dr. Nakul Bhalla as Dr. Nakul. Overall the show is a winner all the way as it ticks all the right boxes and makes for a perfect binge watching this weekend. It has a predictable climax but ends on a cliffhanger! The story is far from over and we look forward to the next season. Do not miss this impressive drug drama! Streaming on mx player now.

Story starts slow and delivers the same level of drama and action. Not Great not Bad. Its ok as per these plot. As per Title HIGH - story is of drug and more. Makers didn't used the real Ranvir Shorey. Munna the Drug Mafia he was good, he did a fantastic job keep it up. Story is slow just like drug, like drug mix slowly in blood,thats how story goes from the start. But it was gripping. Not that bad waiting for the second part. This series is so good, it's beyond words. The story is INTENSE, plot is EXCELLENT and acting is MIND BLOWING. The catch is that this is on MX player (:o) , usually MX player recommend some serious garbage shows on the platform but this is so good. Shewta Basu and Akshay Oberoi are PHENOMENAL.

JUST WATCH IT, IT'S WORTH YOUR TIME.

Lot to ponder after watching this series!!may be smartly written to understand pharma mafia ..the story is parallel to Mary Jane story how india banned it in 1985 under UN pressure..and how modern science has unearthed its potential to cure various diseases and could disrupt pharma industry ..a country where Atharva Veda says one of the five most sacred plants is Cannabis Sativa and have known the value ..we have been diverted and digressed to consider something else when real poison is roaming freely

This is so great story & gripping plot. Edge of seat. Amazing performances by all cast specially Akshay Oberoi & Ranveer Shorey. Its very unfortunate that the makers of this series didn't promote it well else this would have been biggest HITS amongst audiences. May be It deserved much better platform than MX Player to reach to larger audiences. Strongly recommended to watch and promote this series.
