When German broadcaster ZDF bought Agente speciale (1961) for the German market, they chose to exclude certain episodes. To capitalize on the success of the TV show, a different company edited two of those episodes, The £50,000 Breakfast (1967) and Murdersville (1967), together to form this movie. Since its release, the film has not been shown again and, as of 2020, is deemed lost.
