On Ryuji's first day of school he crosses paths with Taiga, who puts a love letter (meant for his friend) in his bag by mistake. Each of them are in love with each other's friend, so they make a deal to help each other out.

As Ryuji spends more time with Taiga, he finds both kindness and weakness in her. He promises to be the dragon to help the tiger capture the heart of her love.

Ryūji and Taiga are helping Minoru out at one of her many part-time jobs. When Ryuji and Minori get locked inside the warehouse, Ryuji finally gets his chance to learn more about Minori...

Toradora! tells the tale of Ryuji (dragon) and Taiga (tiger) helping each other confess to their crushes. From the classroom, to the pool, to a summer vacation house and even the school's culture festival... will Ryuji and Taiga be able to help one another conquer their emotions, or will a new bond be formed in the chaotic war of love?

The final main character, Ami Kawashima, appears. Ryuji was caught off-guard by her true nature. She acts like an innocent angel, but she is, in fact, a selfish little demon. She could be a new source of problems as she doesn't get along with Taiga at all.

Ami has a stalker! When Taiga volunteers herself, Ami, Minori and Ryuji to take part in the student council's monthly neighborhood cleaning rally and the stalker shows up, Taiga takes matters into her own hands, inspiring Ami in the process.

The school pool is being re-opened and Taiga is worried that people will laugh at her flat chest. Ryuji comes up with a solution to help boost her confidence.

Taiga dreams up a plan to prevent her nightmare about Ryuji from coming true by holding a badminton contest. But after Ryuji wins, Taiga agrees to help him get him closer to Minori ... by scaring the daylights out of her!

The vacation has scares all around.

The school's cultural festival is coming, and there will be prizes for the class with the best play performance, but the prizes seem aimed mostly at the girls. Meanwhile, Taiga is dealing with family issues and she's not happy about it.

It's the first day of the Cultural Festival, and Taiga's father has still not shown up. Is he going to be a total no show?!! Adding to the tension is the brooding silence between Ryuji and Minori.

Now that Ryuji is committed to helping Minori go after Taiga, everything is getting more and more complicated. Ryuji's mother has run away, Taiga wants to be a three-person family with Yasuko, and Ryuji introduces Taiga to his grandfather ... as his bride.

The final episode where every character's story comes to an end. Ryuji and Taiga get together, and afterward, Taiga takes a different path. There are also scenes of heart-warming friendship between the classmates.
