A Beautiful Curse

Beautiful, mysterious, and genuinely moving.

Despite the slow tempo I was engaged throughout the entire film. The breathtaking scenery, the unfolding mystery and the love story between two people who haven't even met made for an interesting story told in a unique way. The atmosphere is quiet and calm and the film has a very dreamy feel. With very few actual words spoken it still manages to tell a complex story about love that makes you question your understanding of what love is.

Also very noteworthy is the visual aesthetics in this film - it is something different. Visually, some of the shots almost reminded me of an Wes Anderson movie, stunning and distinctive.

An interesting film with the most beautiful visuals. The pace of the narration is very slow which goes hand in hand with the clean shots and muted colours.

It's a different and therefore interesting love story, surrounded by surrealism in a realistic setting.

The film has stayed on my mind for the last few days, as it has a very open ending, there's unresolved plots and the film leaves the viewer with many unanswered questions.

If you like to watch films that keep you on your toes but still has a peaceful and aesthetic ambiance and look to them, then this film should be on your watchlist.

This has a mystery at the start that pulls you into the scenario pretty much from the start...just ride along and you will be rewarded.

Scenery and location are excellent with day and night shots that alternately increase the tension and demonstrate a calm side to the tale.

I was second-guessing the plot and (happily) missed the idea.

Don't YOU miss this one.

Beautiful movie in all aspects. Great acting. It's a very visual movie meaning there is not much talking However the actors does well preforming mainly in silence. Touching scenes and an amazing cinematography! A movie in which it's very hard to predict what's coming next, which makes it exciting. But with that said, the plot is a little blurry. It is as if it changes several times during the movie. And I'm still unsure what exactly the plot is.

I think the movie gets better when watching it a second time. Can't wait to see it again.

I really enjoyed this movie. The story line has you constantly wondering how it's going to end. The female lead, Olivia Vinall, was awesome in her delivery and smooth as silk voice. The movie transported me to where this was all happening. Dialog was crisp and very effective. I went away wanting to see more of Ms Vinall's work. She is now on my radar for people to watch. Someone from Hollywood needs to discover this actress with the perfect voice.
