I don't watch a lot of mysterious movies, but this one really makes me nervous during almost entire the movie. the actress Song Ji Hyo was really good also the main actor reactions were perfect, the end was a bit very fast, it doesn't take enough time to reveal the truth. But in general-outline was a good movie.
I will give it 7/10

When a woman, Yoo-jin (Ji-Hyo Song), comes into Seo-jin's (Mu-Yeol Kim) life claiming to be his long lost sister, he becomes suspicious of her claims and true intentions with his family.
This film has both good and bad moments. Let's start with the bad.
There is a vague setup for the film and not enough individual character building. We just aren't given enough reason to care about what is happening with the characters to truly invest in whatever outcome awaits. The way the story has been setup lacks a direction for cause of doubt and it seems a bit rushed.
What I believe the film had going for it was a nice atmosphere. It was very tense even without having all the character building. It is what pushes the film forward. Also the acting was rather good.
I recognized Ji-Hyo Song from Wishing Stairs (2003), the third film from the Whispering Corridors series and I thought she did a great playing subtle nefariousness in her role. I recognized Mu-Yeol Kim from Forgotten (2017) and although he played his part well, he was overshadowed greatly by Ji-Hyo Song.
As far as the twist is concerned, some will like it because it is such a drastic twist while others will look at the screen sideways. It will come down to how you personally feel about it. I thought it was interesting but a bit lackluster. I personally wanted to see something with a bit more punch to it.
Overall the film held my attention but it wasn't the fast paced, intense thriller that I've come to expect from South Korea. Just a bit disappointed but still a decent watch.

The movie is about her missing sister and the homecoming of the said sister years later, but protagonist have his doubt about his sister identity. All that is good, but the problem is, it's kind of obvious SJH is not the sister. It doesn't have the "so is SJH is the real one, or not?" effect, the suspense is not wholly there tbh. What the movie need, is another character who can claim to also be protagonist's sister, or something that can add more impact to protagonist confusion.
Still, I find the movie to be watchable, like my headline says, "just okay"

Lets start with the bad things: There is a lack of detail about characters and we dont get to know more about them, which makes them look kinda ''dry'' and not that sympathetic. The plot itself is kinda odd and unrealistic, but some people enjoy that and the others don't. Yet, there are many stereotypes that we all know from other films
Good thing is the acting and the atmosphere during the storytelling. I would say its a film to kill time if you have extra 2 hours but you wouldn't miss a big masterpiece if you dont watch it.

The end was unexpected. Not many films follow this kind of concept. Nice movie to watch with friends!

I watched it because I wanted to support Song Ji Hyo. The movie wasn't that great. The plot has no climax and can be expected. It would've been better if there's a plot twist to it.

Characters are flat and uninteresting. Not enough time spent on the first act to give the audience a reason to care about the characters or a baseline to be disrupted.
This movie lacks any clues or foreshadowing so when the exposition comes along it comes completely out of left field. Doesn't give you satisfying 'ah ha!' moments as you fit the pieces of the puzzle together in your head. Lots of dumb scenes, shouting, knife fights. Stop a knife fight half way through so you can deliver some more exposition. Main character gets so upset while being a passenger in a car he causes a dumb car crash and just dusts himself off and walks away.
Three very suspect 10/10 reviews already. Avoid this forgetable and boring movie.

A movie with a bad script. Tried to chain the events to push to the climax but only made the audience uncomfortable by forced and irrational situations. Those who are passionate about the best crime psychology should not watch, just frustrate you and feel a waste of time.
The movie is definitely intriguing, for the plot and cinematography make you feel and think like the main character.
It causes confusion as what is real and what is halluction, yet still teach you subtly to always trust your intuition.
I recommend it to those who love psychological thriller, and enjoy plot-twists.

Intruder was a somewhat solid film that had some interesting idea and premise but it was also a film that used its potential to a full way like it had potential for it.Characters are fine but i lacked emotional impact to connect with them and that was a sort of a problem for me.Story also if it was cool and interesting ,it still lacked a far bigger impact that would effect me in a great sort of ways.Story and script were done in a good way, expecly script and acting made that thing just a lot better.Intruder is a proof that not every Korean film is masterpiece but it had some fine moments

The story was quite interesting. There is also a good thrill in the story. However, there seems to be inconsistency in the plot of the story. Type everything as you see fit. The twists are thrilling and fun, but it's not nice to accept. Many things were out of the question. Still didn't look bad. I like acting very much. Quick movie to watch, what else!
The acting of the actors are superb, especially Song Jihyo. The immersions and the expressions are absolutely right on spot

Story is v poor, I feel sorry but direction is v bad. No logical explanation of the scenes... some what a bit credit goes to these two main lead actors.
The movie tries to be creepy in a Gaslight kind of way as the main guy, after his long missing sister returns, begins to suspect it might not actually be her and nobody believes him. Potentially an intriguing premise but the problem is, the unfolding mystery is really dumb and boring and the actions of the protagonists make no sense and are not believable at all. Also, none of the characters are interesting or sympathetic, I just wanted them all to die. Basically it's an American horror knock-off, with lots of elements borrowed from a variety of equally worthless Hollywood garbage.
Don't waste your time.

I like the idea of the film. The first act of the film attracts the audience with a new and unique idea, creating a haunting horror atmosphere. However, as the film moves on, it becomes boring and predictable. The film focuses too much on the protagonist which makes the rest sketchy and makes the film kind of one-sided. I almost forgot about the daughter until they talked about the... in the end.
If elaborated, with the director spending more time editing and adding ideas, the film can easily become a second parasite.

As a thriller genre movie, Intruder does well at its pace with constantly giving questions to audience what the secret is hidden by his sister. It describes detailed and rich layer about Seo-Jin's mental status after her wife' car accident but also creating much suspicion between people in the family which I did enjoy a lot. Both main actors are brilliant. It so happened I watched another Intruder by Dennis Quaid this week. What's wrong with the Director? The only plot he could think is the intruder licking a woman. I just can't believe such cheap and cheesy plot can be made.
The script didn't make any sense, so annoying. Many illogical situations and bad explained. The protagonist is dumb as hell, i cant lol

I'm a big fan of Asian cinema, mainly because - unlike American movies - it is free of the unbearable politically correct messages. This movie, however, was not what I expected. Acting is average at best. It's full of clichés, the plot is confusing. I cannot recommend for the lovers of Korean movies.

The 10 star ratings are suspect and seem to be made by the same person. They just mention acting Song Jihyo is great. All three of them.
Really lived up to the hype. Song Ji Hyo did a wonderful job in her role and allowed me to get immersed into the movie.
