I'm gonna say this straight away: I do not play pokémon games for the story. I play them for the battles against other pokémon! That's my bread and butter with these games. A lot of people say the lack of a story hurts this game a lot, but I say that is actually why this game is so great! This game gives me exactly what i want: constant battles without the hassle of going to these different areas and having to do extra crap like puzzles. This game gets straight to the bread and butter of the franchise, and it's wonderful! If you're like me and just wanna play a fun battle game, this will satisfy your needs! Worth your time and money! Also being able to unlock rental passes with different pokémon I think is a fun way to reward progress in this game! It's so unique in that regard! It's incentive enough to where it keeps you playing the game!
