I did enjoy the previous Tinkerbell films, so I watched Tinkerbell and the Secret of the Wings knowing what to expect and hoping it would be as good as the others. And it was. From an adult standpoint, maybe the story is a touch too simplistic and some of the dialogue cheesy(and I have to admit I did find them so at times). This said, the story is also cute and charming with a well-intentioned message, and the main target audience I doubt are going to care too much about what the dialogue is like. Moving on to the many positives about Secret of the Wings, I'll start with the animation, which is really beautiful, full of colour and sparkle. I'd go as far to say that of the Tinkerbell movies, and all of them are well-animated in my opinion, Secret of the Wings is the loveliest from a visual standpoint. The soundtrack is sweet, breezy and unobtrusive, which suits the tone of the story very well. The characters are still likable and engaging, also ones that anybody in the right mindset will relate to. And that is instead of going around saying that it's for "little girls", an irritating stereotype that helps to give the Tinkerbell movies and others movies an undeservedly, I feel, bad rap. They are also very well voiced, Timothy Dalton and Anjelica Huston(the latter being one of my favourite actresses) both do great jobs and gives older audiences to the main target audience at least one reason to watch without prejudice. Tinkerbell and the Secret of the Wings is ultimately and obviously a children's movie (For young girls in particular). From the dialog to the characters, the music and the colors, it is a movie all children would enjoy.

Although there have been many previous Tinkerbell movies, this one concentrates on Tinkerbell and her background. As Tinkerbell becomes fascinated with the forbidden Winter Forest and the Winter Fairies, she embarks on a journey of self discovery and adventure as we delve into her past and explore where she came from.

Like all Disney movies, this movie has big, bold colors, realistic textures, and of course, 3D. We see swooping shots of caricatured forests, glistening glaciers, and picturesque little animals. And once you get over the obviously cheesy dialog, it's actually not a bad film. I wouldn't see it on my own, but if you're looking for something to see with your 7 year old daughter/niece, it's the perfect choice. There's something there for both genders, and it has the feel-good factor of a classic Disney animation.

Although this is not as good as other Disney's movies, such as Up and How to Train Your Dragon, it's a nice, 'pretty' movie. Overlook the wincing humor, and enjoy this film with kids, who will no doubt find the wit hilarious. Try to make it a family day, overpriced popcorn and drinks included.

We took our 3.5 year old daughter and a friend of hers to see the movie and they enjoyed it very much. It's good to see a movie with no villain and evil antagonists, and much like the previous Tinkerbell movies we saw before (on TV) this movie is a great joy for little kids. I see its currently low ratings in IMDb and it bugs me that people are rating children movies as if they were meant for adults... Yeah, for me and my wife the movie was pretty simplistic (don't go to see it without the kids :)) but for children it was excellent. Good graphics and great visuals, Good story, No scary things for young children, Not too long for children to sit through, Includes famous beloved character and characters from previous movies. a clear 10/10

Innocent and endearing Tinker Bell (Mae Whitman) returns with another tale from the magical realms of faeries. Summer fairies and winter fairies don't mix, as nature has planned each of their roles with forethought. The wings of one will freeze in the cold, while the others whittle away in the heat. Thus both lands are separated with fairies in both quarters bringing harmony across the divide. Nonetheless Tinker Bell was never one to avoid adventure and enchanted by the snowy bliss of winter decides to cross to the forbidden other side, where see encounters her white-haired twin Perriwinkle (Lucy Hale). These events counter the rules of both faerie clans, placing them in conflict with Lord Milori (Timothy Dalton) of the Winter Faeries and Queen Clarion (Anjelica Huston) of the Summer Faeries.

Full of sparkle and some charming characters, Tinker Bell's adventures in Never Never Land are just what they must be: an engrossing experience of wonder for youthful eyes, devoid of unnecessary brutality or subtextual messages for adults (well... not entirely... but almost). Thus a movie focused directly towards its target audience, but with enough sweet allure to at least keep parents in focus. Nonetheless Disney fails to avoid worrying trends to 'barbiefy' the faeries into slender voluptuous dolls. Never a Disney classic, but solidly entertaining with some dazzling Indian made animation (apparently a stark improvement on previous Tinker Bell movies) and enchanting enough to satisfy youth, while not dissuading adults.

I normally go to adult movies. But once in a while, with my little daughter, we decide to go to the theaters to discover the magic of animation. I do frequently criticize movies that do not have strong stories. And animated movies are part of those. But the four movies of Tinker Bell are outstanding. Not only because of the animation or the creativity involved in every situation, but specially because the story is normally so strong, and the characters are so well defined, that a sense of emotion comes from me and my family at the end of the movie, and when any movie touches you in some way, it has achieved its goal. Totally recommended for families and people who wants to discover something new in a classic story.

This is the story of a fairy that wants to go on the snowy side of the land. Fairies that live on the cold side cannot go on the warmer side of the fairy land and fairies on the warmer side cannot go on the cold side for safety reasons.

One of the fairies - Tinkerbell wants to go to the colder side and speak with the Keeper who wrote a book about fairy wings. She makes a winter outfit for herself and sneaks into a basket carried by winter owls over to the snowy side of the land.

The colors of the land are created beautiful. The flower fields are animated and a layer of flowers in purple open up across the screen.

A rainbow is also animated that goes across the screen that goes into the fields. There is also a very colorful field of butterflies on grass,all beautifully animated.

Two male friends of Tinker are very creative and make a machine that produces snow for a fairy coming over from the cold side.

The scenery is beautiful, the story is funny, very sweet and joyful. It is a wonderful movie for people of any age to see. It is like being in a beautiful fantasy land with characters that are creative, kind and helpful.

This is the fourth in the feature-length direct-to-DVD Tinkerbell series.

The previous three videos were entertaining and fairly original.

This most recent addition is uninspired, unoriginal, and overly simplistic. It lacks the relative depth and richness of its predecessors, and the soundtrack is little more than a lightweight disfigurement of those in the previous videos.

A child certainly might like this movie, but it is nevertheless inferior in virtually every way.

If you haven't seen the previous three movies, I'd recommend getting one or all of those.

If you have seen the previous three movies, I think you'll find that this one adds nothing of value to the experience.

This installment is about WINTER, and the series now covers all Seasons. This film takes a very different route for Tinker Bell and I'm not sure I like it. Tinker Bell learns she has a sister in another Fairy realm, and does everything in her power to be with her.

The plot is very simple, unlike the previous films, which had deeper underlying themes. The humor was also very cartoonish, making this film aimed at a much younger demographic. Adults might find it difficult to relate to the film or enjoy it as much as its predecessors. I certainly didn't enjoy it as much. There were just too many conveniences and last minute (or second for that matter) rescues, it reminded me of typical Hollywood cliches. I did not find the story convincing enough and over-dramatized, while very melodramatic other times. The fairy inventions are very innovative, though.

In this new adventure, Tinker Bell goes to the Winterwoods looking for help in unlocking a secret that could change Pixie Hollow forever. There, the fairy will meet Periwinkle (voiced by Lucy Hale, from the series "Pretty Little Liars") and, together, they will discover that they have a lot in common. Tinker Bell, Periwinkle and their friends venture into the winter forest to find the secret of the winged fairies. With 3D display.

"But if you're open-minded and good-hearted, your wings can take you Far beyond imagination." Despite this movie having a double cuteness (Tinker meets a twin sister) it was the least nice of them all, cute, but the simplest and silliest of the whole franchise...

I took my three year old to see this movie over the weekend and it was a massive hit!!

She is tinker bell obsessed, we have the other three at home and when I saw that there was a new one at the movies was right in there.

The story is just beautiful. If you have a little girl who is fairy mad then this movie is a must! Waiting for it come out on DVD now as little miss hasn't stopped talking about it :)

100% 10 out of 10 good movie for the big kid adult as well. a few jokes in there that got the parents laughing and the kids were like huh.

all round, great movie for your little princess

Oh my geez Jodi Benson the voice actor of Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and Barbie ( Toy Story 3) was there and even Ben Diskin the voice actor of Numbuh 1 ( Codename: Kids Next Door was also there.

I saw this on TV so I missed out on the sound and feel of a Theater viewing. And I think that that is a sad thing. The graphics are great on the small screen so they must be amazing on the big.

The story was very good, though (for grown-ups) a bit predictable. Basically Tinker Bell (a warm weather fairy) wants to cross the border to the winter realm, which is against the rules. Similarly a Winter Fairy wants to see the warm realm. When these two get together the typical Tinker Bell problems ensue requiring fairies from both realms to come together to fix.

For the adults this is escapist entertainment with a mild political overtone. For the kids this is great entertainment with friendship, action, some adventure and just a touch of learning why we have rules.

My only negative comment is the song that played in the background throughout the movie. It is something about dividing or a divide. I don't usually comment on an individual's talent if I cannot do a better job, but whoever was singing that song needs to quit. The voice was like fingernails on a chalkboard and extremely distracting.

I would have given this movie a full 10 stars had it not been for the constant playing of that song.
