And then they spoiled it all

Okay, sounds interesting. It could work. Ah yes, tension is built up quite well. The characters are quite ok, let's see where the journey goes.

And then comes the last episode.

Holy father! What an unbelievable nonsense! I won't spoil this junk, but this much is revealed: this is no story twist, no big surprise, but an embarrassing soap opera beyond compare.

How can you ruin an arc of suspense like that?

Horrible. Simply awful.

That Ending was bad

Some of the decisions the characters made were very stupid . The ending of the first season sucked . I don't even have anything nice to say right now because I'm shocked .

Good begin and middle but lousy ending

The beginning was ok, the middle it started getting better, ..but the ending was the worst.. It started not to even make sence anymore in the last episode, to many loose ends and not really good explained stories.. Could have been very good, but it is almost as if they started with one writer and the ending was written by another who totaly not understood the storyline in the previous episodes.. Very disapointing!

Good show, bad ending

The show was good. If it wasn't for the unsatisfying ending I'd probably rate it 8/10. Good storyline, interesting characters, good dialogue, good pace and good acting. Unfortunately it all crumbled at the end with an unsatisfying ending that leaves too many unanswered questions and loose ends. I don't know if the writers didn't have an ending in mind or they were too busy worrying about making a twist (that wasn't surprising at all btw) but they failed in tying it all up to create a cohesive story. It didn't make much sense at the end and I didn't appreciate that on top of that they were trying to send some sort of a moral lesson (which again didn't make sense). Don't get me wrong, it's not the worst ending I've ever seen but I really feel that with a different ending this show could have been so much better because it really had such great potential. 6/10.

Confusing plot

Its a hard to follow story. Are the cops the good guys? Are the suspects prepertrators or victums? Can they solve the kidnapping who knows? I watched it until the end despite the illogical twists and turns.

I hoped it got better. It didn't.

The quality cast to build tension and character from the scant script, at times chewing the scenery because there was such little meat in the plot. An elevator pitch probably sounded good - a commentary on truth in modern media through climate change and PR spin with a kidnapping twist. Execution of the idea was clumsy and, at times, nonsensical. Side quests took up screen time but went nowhere meaningful. The final episode of this mediocre show could have almost saved it with a shocking twist or revelation, but alas, we saw it coming. Rushed and poorly concluded plot points leave the viewer dissatisfied (eg how did X know Y? Does X ever go back home?). Ultimately the show suffers poor pacing throughout the season, frontloaded with filler and overwrought tension over minor matters then tied up in a hamfisted bow of unresolved threads.

And not for nothing - Uma Thurman has beautiful, natural hair. Either she has a terrible wig in this show or they need to blacklist the hairstylist for doing her so dirty. There's looking like a frumpy character on purpose, then there's having hair so bad it's distracting. This is the second.

Got progressively worse

My interest was captured by the original kidnapping theme and the mystery of how the 4 Brits were involved. By the third episode the story had gotten convoluted and the characters showed no particular charisma. I took a break and plugged on to the end, and despite all the ins and outs and ups and downs, the end was neither clever or original. Maybe my review will save someone else from wasting their time.

The British do it so well...

Based on the first 2 episodes. The British have a knack to crafting a perfect mystery thriller. They seem to pretend to muddle things up by having so much going on, but in affect you are enthralled to what the hell is going on! A neat way in setting up the characters and laying the groundwork for our suspicion by distorting our perspective! (Too many exclamation marks going on here!)

In no time we are in the thick of it by episode 2, and we begin to perceive the suspects in one way or another, not sure which way to go! Once again, like all good mystery thrillers, you throw it all out there, but the baby in the tub. You keep that baby for the final surprise. And just when you thought this series was going to run out of steam by episode 2, they give us another shot in the veins, and we are addicted. Now I am more than riveted in the direction this is going.

What I am looking forward to is the culture clash between the British and USA agents in solving the case, (which will also involve a gender clash). The power of public camera surveillance and is our privacy threaten? The other burning question is how powerful is this high-tech corporation, and do they rule the world? Will the suspects ever get their normal lives back? And will they ever cross paths? These answers will need to be answered, but please do it over a low burning flame and enthrall us, teasing us with all the joy of a decent cheesy mystery thriller.

A mansion on a foundation of sand

Great concept and promise, nice and well skilled cast, amazing cinematography and music. Almost flawless for an entertaining watch if it weren't for the scriptwriters and scene writers - too many inaccuracies and overdramatic how all different parties involved operate and interact. This unfortunately completely takes away from the immersion of the series.

Interesting so far

The moment I start watching the series I was wondering why is the plot so familiar and then I realized it's based on a brilliant Israeli TV series, hopefully the adaption will be good as well.

Disappointing

I wouldn't say this is an all star cast, Uma Thurman is the only top name in the show and she has a very minor role. That being said, most of the cast is very recognizable and had been in large roles before.. so with the people involved in this show I was expecting so much better than this show delivered.

First episode was so poorly written, I was not motivated to continue with it :-(

Poorly constructed scenes that do not really motivate you to really like any of the characters enough. Boring, conversational dialog that did nothing to help the story or to build up the characters :-(

A giant waste of time

Started ok but then it just went nowhere with acting and plots lines that progressively got worst. This one is a complete dud for Apple TV despite big budget and premier actors.

Riveting

First of all, the cast is great. Not just good actors (most of whom I've enjoyed in other productions), but actors who have a lot of on-screen chemistry with their colleagues. I was sucked in at once by the scenes with the Thompson sisters (Georgina Campbell and Lydia West), and within a few minutes I was fully invested in their story.

The plot is good, too - not your usual whodunnit, but three ordinary, unrelated Londoners who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, now under suspicion while the real bad guy is on the loose, killing and scheming. Of course, that's just what we're intended to infer - it could turn out to be very different as the story unfolds...

The production values are good - slick and sophisticated - the music, lighting, sets and costuming are all quite well done.

I was a little surprised by Uma Thurman's top billing, as she barely made an appearance in the first two episodes. But maybe we'll see more of her as the show progresses.

Overall, I think this show is getting off to an excellent start. I can't wait to see what happens next...

Just ok

I actually really like this kind of thriller. A bunch of "average" people's lives are upended when they are accused of a horrible crime. Are they guilty or is "someone" just making it look like they did. In this case the horrible crime is the very public abduction and kidnapping of the son of a CEO who is about to be named to a top political position. The people immediately arrested are all British and all are connected to the powerful woman, her son or her company in one way or another but they all insist it is just a considence. However when the ransom demand is that "she tell the truth" but doesn't specify that that truth is things get more complicated and the chase is on for both the police and the Brits caught in a deadly game to find the kidnapped young boy or the truth before its too late.

The story itself is decent one and if you seen Big Bang Theory or Agents of Shield you will recognize at least two of the leads. That was worth the story alone for me and its not a long one and it isn't overly complicated. And the ending at least made sense and didn't come completely out of left field. Was it perfect? I was expecting gotcha moments that came out of nowhere and I am glad they never happened and the big reveal made sense if you think about it. And yes there are some left wing politics to it but none overly dramatic. Characters actions mostly made sense. And I would watch a second season but this isn't the kind of show that usually gets a second season. Then again this is apple plus and not netflix so who knows.

Competent but forgettable thriller

Suspicion is a British thriller on Apple TV+, it's an eight-episode remake of the Israeli series False Flag. It follows five British citizens accused of kidnapping Katherine's son, Leo, from a New York hotel. The suspects race to prove their innocence in a trans-Atlantic manhunt.

Pacing starts strong, with a gripping two-episode premiere, but slows in episodes 3-6, dragging with repetitive interrogations, unlike Sacred Games' relentless momentum or Homeland's urgency. The finale's twist feels sloppy, leaving loose ends.

Chris Long's direction, known for The Americans, delivers taut interrogation scenes but struggles to unify the sprawling narrative, lacking The Bridge's atmospheric coherence. Themes of surveillance and truth resonate but fumble in a muddled conclusion.

The diverse cast, including Noah Emmerich and Angel Coulby, shines, but shallow character arcs limit emotional stakes. Nayyar and Campbell shine, with Coulby's Vanessa stealing scenes, rivaling The Undoing's ensemble. The biggest star on the roster (arguably) Uma Thurman lacks energy as well as screen time.

Technically, the series boasts slick production, with New York and London settings evoking The Undoing's polish, but the synth-heavy score feels dated compared to False Flag's subtlety.

Suspicion entertains with its whodunit but lacks The Night Of's gravitas or Chimerica's geopolitical bite.

For Indian audiences, it's less gritty than Paatal Lok but shares Sacred Games' conspiracy vibe. Globally, it's a middle-tier thriller, outshone by Homeland's intensity and The Bridge's nuance.

Recommended for patient thriller fans, but its pacing issues and weak ending reduce rewatch value.

Boring/Confusing

Now if you enjoy slow shows with some action then this was ok. But by the end your wondering why what happened even happened. Also why the people did what they did in the first place. Because although everything was explained at the end you will didn't get why or for what was the whole reasoning behind it. The great reveal was a great let down. One of those "Why did I just watch all of these for this!?" kind of moments. The actors were just ok, I only liked Aadesh and will be looking for more shows with him in them. The whole story and set up just felt so fake. I could not enjoy getting lost in the series because it felt to illogical and forced! I have seen many series that are far more interesting and better at telling a story than this one. For me it is a hard pass but I did enjoy episode 4 out of them all of the episodes.

Quitting early

I watched the first three episode and frankly, it sucks. Terrible plot. The Brits do good mystery thrillers, but when they do it on their own without American studios. Better off finding a good series on BritBox and AcornTV.
