Karen Page vs Elektra: Charlie Cox on Who is Daredevil’s True Soulmate
Image
Between Karen Page and Elektra Natchios, there have been innumerable debates over the years about who could be the true soulmate of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in his Daredevil saga. And the actor, for one, appears to have finally answered that question, to settle those fan debates once and for all with his answer: Deborah Ann Woll’s Page.

Charlie Cox Confirms Daredevil's MCU Future Despite Recent Worries
Image
When Daredevil: Born Again was first announced to be in development for Disney+, fans were elated that Netflix's incredibly popular iteration of the character would live on despite its cancellation on the platform shortly after Season 3 was released. Before its massive shift in creative direction and rewrites, the intent for Born Again always seemed to be that it would consist of 18 episodes, even if it was only one season, before a change in showrunners and writers split it in two. The future of the series has been somewhat uncertain ever since, but now the star of the series has provided some clarification on Daredevil's place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The website ComicBookMovie managed to get a brief interview with Daredevil actor Charlie Cox, who was making an appearance at the "For the Love of Fantasy" event in London, England. The exchange between the outlet and the actor...

What Does Daredevil's Red Suit Returning Mean for His MCU and Comics Future?
Image
It's no secret Marvel likes to keep its comics and cinematic universes in conversation.

So, readers were colored unsurprised, albeit devilish red, when Hell's Kitchen's favorite vigilante returned to his usual crimson costume in Daredevil #24 this week ahead of a faceoff against Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk, much like his MCU counterpart. Fisk is also making his first appearance since the renowned Devil's Reign arc.

Daredevil Returns to the Red as Kingpin Returns in Daredevil Marvel Comics

Written by Saladin Ahmed, the most recent Marvel Comics Daredevil run has been one of the most controversial in recent memory. The misses play like a greatest hits: bringing Daredevil back to Hell's Kitchen, splitting Murdock and Elektra, putting the Devil back in his questionable Black Armor outfit. Even the return to red comes with zero fanfare or narrative explanation between Daredevil issues #24 and #25.

Ahmed's stint is reported to end in the next issue,...

Did MCU Cancel Charlie Cox’s Daredevil After Season 2: Vincent D’Onofrio Shares Daredevil Season 3 Update
Image
Rumors have been making headlines as of late that Marvel has reportedly canceled Charlie Cox’s latest Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, after only two seasons. But while this speculation sprung up from the Matt Murdock portrayer’s own comments, his co-star Vincent D’Onofrio has recently clarified that it’s just simply not the truth.

Recently, while talking about the upcoming season 2 in an interview, Cox referred to the season as ‘final season’, following which Giant Freakin Robot released an article titled, ‘Marvel Has Ruined And Canceled Another Beloved Superhero,’ focusing on Cox’s wording. However, D’Onofrio called it out for displaying “not the correct info.”

With a post on @vincentdonofrio/X, the Kingpin portrayer wrote,

So dramatic. Lol.

This is article is not the correct info. I’ve just tweeted about why it’s confusing and the fact there is a very good chance we will have a third.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Has ‘Very Good Chance’ for Season 3 Despite Charlie Cox Calling Season 2 the ‘Final’ One at Fan Event
Image
Vincent D’Onofrio may play the villain on Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again,” but in real life, he’s doing hero’s work for fans of the show.

This week, observers picked up on a stray comment “Daredevil” star Charlie Cox made in July during a panel at GalaxyCon, when the actor called the upcoming second season of “Born Again,” due to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026, the “final season” of the series.

Asked about his favorite Daredevil costume, Cox mentioned that set photos from Season 2 of Cox wearing his character’s new all-black suit have been leaked online. “The one that we just finished with in Season 2 of ‘Born Again,’ I think, is my favorite, for a couple of reasons,” Cox said. “One, because it is bad-ass, but also because every suit that we’ve had so far, in some way, is represented in the comics.”

He continued, “But there...

Vincent D'Onofrio Teases Possible 'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 3 Following Unexpected Charlie Cox Comments
Image
Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) rarely agree on anything. The two opposing forces are alike in many ways but radically different when it comes to their views on New York City. While this dynamic keeps Daredevil: Born Again fresh and worth watching, it's now extending to real life, and fans can’t be more grateful.

In recent news, Cox called the second installment of Born Again “the final season” of the hit Disney+ series, which came as disappointing news to fans. For the uninitiated, Netflix’s cancellation of the Og Daredevil series propelled fans to rally for the addition of Cox’s iconic character and his nemesis to the MCU. After years of rallying, Cox made his MCU debut with Spider-Man: No Way Home and D’Onofrio in the Hawkeye series. The two returned for the Born Again series, which was a major hit and has wrapped production on Season 2. So,...

Charlie Cox Calls ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 The “Final Season,” But Vincent D’Onofrio Notes “Good Chance” Of Season 3 Renewal
Image
Although Charlie Cox has Daredevil fans worried that the Disney+ revival could be short-lived, his co-star is clarifying the apparent misunderstanding.

The Daredevil: Born Again star recently called the upcoming sophomore season, which is set to premiere in March 2026, the “final season,” despite Vincent D’Onofrio claiming there’s “good chance” for a Season 3 renewal.

“I know that there have been leaked set photos. So, the one that we just finished with in Season 2 of Born Again, I think is my favorite, for a couple of reasons,” Cox explained at GalaxyCon. “One, because it is bad-ass, but also because every suit that we’ve had so far, in some way, is represented in the comics.”

Cox added, “But there’s a particular, something that we do in this final season, that doesn’t exist in the comics. So, it is unique to our show.”

When tagged by a fan asking for clarity,...

Vincent D'Onofrio Delivers An Unexpected Update Regarding Daredevil: Born Again's Future
Image
Daredevil: Born Again lead star Charlie Cox may have misspoke about the upcoming second season of the Disney+ series being its last. Cox's Born Again co-star Vincent D'Onofrio has come out and stated that a third season of Daredevil remains likely at Marvel Television.

Earlier this week, a clip of Cox from the recent GalaxyCon went viral online, since it featured the actor referring to Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 as the "final season." With no such announcement having been made yet by Marvel, fans were confused whether Cox simply misspoke or had revealed the show's future prematurely. In an attempt to prevent further speculation, D'Onofrio took to X to give his thoughts on the matter. "I believe Charlie meant the last season we actually shot meaning the second season. Yet he used the term final season so its a bit confusing," the Kingpin actor agreed, before adding, "But Charlie...

Mercifully, someone has since come to the rescue and straightened things out. And that someone is Wilson Fisk himself, Vincent D'Onofrio.

Cox appeared at GalaxyCon where he talked about the show, the leaked set photos, and the suit variations we will see in the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again. During the conversation, he referred to the second season as "this final season," and all hell broke loose:

"There have been some leaked set photos. So the one [black costume] that we just finished with in Season 2 of Born Again, I think is my favorite for a couple of reasons. One, because it is badass. But also because every suit that we've had so far...

'Daredevil: Born Again' Star Charlie Cox Calls Season 2 the "Final Season"
Image
Daredevil fans may have succeeded in bringing back the series after it was canceled by Netflix, but leading star Charlie Cox may have just inadvertently dropped a devastating update on the future of his MCU series. Cox was recently heard speaking at Galaxy Con, in which he called Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 “the final season” of the hit Disney+ series. This certainly comes as a disappointment to fans, who were expecting several more seasons of Born Again after Season 2, which wrapped filming not long ago.

Cox also addressed the leaked set photos from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which showed him suiting up in Daredevil’s famous black suit. He admits that Born Again Season 2 is his “favorite, for a couple of reasons.” He says that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is “badass,” but he also talks about the fact that every suit that’s been in the show thus far has been represented in Marvel Comics,...

The Punisher Star Jon Bernthal Gives Impassioned Speech As Special Presentation Wraps "Impossible" Shoot
Image
Marvel Studios' The Punisher Special Presentation has now officially wrapped filming in New York, and a video featuring star Jon Bernthal giving an impassioned speech to his cast and crew has been shared online via photographer Steve Sands.

The video sees Bernthal, who reprises his role as Frank Castle from the recent Daredevil: Born Again, thanking those around him for coming together to complete what he describes as an "impossible" 12-day shoot.

The crew was most likely under some pressure to get the Special in the can as quickly as possible, as Bernthal is expected to leave for London this week to begin filming his scenes as the Punisher for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The Odyssey actor is covering his costume here, but we got a close-up look at Castle's new tactical skull vest yesterday (the photo is included below).

Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle Is More Lethal Than Ever in First Look at His New ‘Punisher’ Suit
Image
When Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) entered the MCU, fans knew the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) wasn’t far behind. Daredevil: Born Again brought the character back to us momentarily with a promise of Bernthal’s return in The Punisher Special, which is currently filming and new set images sees a lethal side of the character that we haven’t seen yet.

The new image shared by photographer Steve Sands on Instagram stories (Via ComicBook) gives us a good look at Punisher and his new costume, Bernthal is seen in full costume, head to toe dressed in black, finished with a tactical belt, and black gloves, as always, a huge, more pronounced, skull symbol is adorned on his chest. Seems like some time has passed since Frank got a haircut before seeing Karen in Born Again.

While not many details about the Punisher spin-off are revealed, Bernthal is co-writing the project,...

The Punisher BTS Photo Reveals Close-Up Look At Frank Castle's New Tactical Costume
Image
Though nothing has been officially announced, reports are coming in that filming has now wrapped on Marvel Studios' The Punisher Special Presentation in New York City, and a new photo from the set reveals our best look yet at star Jon Bernthal suited-up in Frank Castle's new tactical costume.

The behind-the-scenes shot was shared by photographer Steve Sands, and it gives us a close-up look at a bearded Castle in his signature skull vest body armor.

Bernthal is expected to arrive to the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day to begin filming his scenes as the Punisher next week, so it'll be interesting to see if he stays in the same costume or sports a different look altogether. Assuming the Disney+ Special takes place before or around the same time as Daredevil: Born Again, we'd say there's a good chance Frank will be clean-shaven for his tussle with the wall-crawler.

First Look at The Punisher's New Costume Shows Jon Bernthal Loaded for Battle
Image
Spider-Man isn't the only hero to receive a new costume in the Marvel Cinematic Universe this week. A new set photo from The Punisher Special Presentation has come online, revealing an updated suit for Jon Bernthal's titular vigilante.

Fans had to wait six years to see Bernthal's Frank Castle/Punisher again in the MCU following the cancellation of the character's Netflix series in 2019. When he finally popped up in Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, Bernthal's Punisher costume was nearly identical to the one he wore on The Punisher. However, the character's upcoming Special Presentation, which will continue from the mid-credits scene in Born Again's Season 1 finale, will debut a new look for the McU's Frank Castle, one that features a full beard and a smaller skull logo. Photographer Steve Sands shared the first look, which can be viewed below, on Instagram.

The Punisher Takes Out Multiple Bad Guys In New Set Videos; Ma Gnucci Actress Possibly Revealed
Image
Marvel Studios' The Punisher Special Presentation is currently shooting, and the latest videos from the set show Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) taking down multiple attackers.

As Castle is rushed by a group of bad guys, he easily dispatches the first few with his bare hands before commandeering a baseball bat and finishing the job.

The Punisher is also set to appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, so there's been some confusion about which project these videos and photos are from. The fourth Spider-Man movie is filming in Scotland, however, while production on the Special Presentation is underway in New York.

We recently got a first glimpse of the actress playing the villainous Carmela Magdalena Gnucci, aka "Ma Gnucci," and one fan believes he's identified her as Emmy Award-winning Transparent and Poker Face star Judith Light. The blurry shots make it difficult to tell for sure, but it's a pretty solid theory.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Set Photos Reveal 7 Major Spoilers
Image
Daredevil: Born Again set photos have revealed eight major spoilers from the Disney+ series, from superhero suits to deadly encounters. Unlike other, bigger-budget MCU productions that have relied heavily on soundstages and green screens, Daredevil: Born Again is taking a more real-world approach. Much like its Disney+ freshman outing, filming took place in New York City from February to July 2025 ahead of a March 2026 premiere.

Marvel Studios took Charlie Cox's Daredevil, Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin, Jon Bernthal's Punisher, Wilson Bethel's Bullseye, and all of Born Again's key stars to the Big Apple for the expansive five-month shoot. While this lends a more realistic look to the Disney+ reboot series, it unfortunately means that NYC citizens are bound to catch some spoilers on their local streets.

As promised last year by Disney CEO Bob Iger, Marvel Studios has scaled back to only 2-3 feature film releases each year, and with “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” in theaters, that’s it for the 2025 lineup. So, what’s left between now and Dec. 26, 2026, when Marvel’s next major “Avengers” film comes out? Not much.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is the third Marvel Cinematic Universe film of 2025, following “Captain America: Brave New World” and “Thunderbolts*.” Meanwhile on Disney+, Season 1 of “Daredevil: Born Again” wrapped up in April, “Ironheart” streamed in June, and only a few more MCU TV shows are coming before the end of next year.

With this reduced slate, how will “Avengers: Doomsday” not only bring back a ton of characters, but set it all up to work story-wise? Obviously, it’s hard to say, other than knowing “Fantastic Four” set up Doctor Doom, their next major villain.

Jeremy Renner Gives Surprising Hawkeye Season 2 Update After MCU Pay Dispute
Image
Hawkeye season 2 just got a very surprising update from Marvel Cinematic Universe star Jeremy Renner. As MCU TV shows have been a crucial component of The Multiverse Saga, only a handful of projects have been able to score season renewals, while others have served as limited series. While the Phase 4 series left the door open for both Renner's Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop to continue, only the latter has been seen since Hawkeye's ending, appearing in The Marvels' mid-credits scene.

In a new interview with Empire, Renner, who had previously spoken about the MCU pay dispute that was preventing him from agreeing to do Hawkeye season 2, dropped a new update about the show potentially continuing. Feeling confident in the way his health has bounced back since his December 2023 snowplow accident, the star feels "my body's getting ready for something" like an MCU return. Renner stated...

Punisher 2026 Set Photos Confirm a Returning Netflix Character
Image
New set photos and video from The Punisher Special Presentation confirmed the return of one significant character from the hero's Netflix series. The upcoming Marvel Television project on Disney+ is set to bring back Jon Bernthal's titular anti-hero as he deals with the aftermath of his escape from Mayor Fisk's containment at the end of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. With him on the run, the possibilities are endless for the roster of characters with whom the Punisher could interact in the 2026 project on Disney+.

Before his triumphant return in Born Again, Marvel fleshed out his story by creating a Netflix series centered on the character, which ran for two seasons. The Punisher played host to many significant characters, such as Billy Russo (aka Jigsaw), David Lieberman/Micro (played by The Fantastic Four: First Steps actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and William Rawlins. As filming for The Punisher Special Presentation is now underway,...

Punisher Special Presentation Set Video Features Best Look Yet At Jon Bernthal Suited-Up As Frank Castle
Image
Cameras are now rolling on Marvel Studios' Punisher Special Presentation, and these latest videos from the New York set give us our best look yet as Jon Bernthal in full costume as Frank Castle.

The first video features a fairly close-up shot of Bernthal walking between two buses in the Punisher's signature skull vest and leather trench coat combo. The actor is also sporting a full beard, which may confirm that this story takes place before the events of Daredevil: Born Again. The second video shows an unfortunate individual being thrown from a hotel balcony.

Plot details are still mostly under wraps, but some previous set photos seemed to confirm that Castle will indeed be facing off against Isabella Carmela Magdalena Gnucci, aka "Ma Gnucci."

Gnucci was the ruthless head of a crime family who made her debut in the fourth issue of Garth Ennis' Marvel Knights run. She...

Marvel Studios Confirms Plans For More R-Rated MCU Movies
Image
Marvel Studios confirmed more R-rated MCU movies are being considered for the super-powered franchise. Thus far, the interconnected comic book universe has dabbled in more mature content with major releases like Deadpool & Wolverine and Daredevil: Born Again, but it has not made a specific push toward an R-rated vertical under its greater content umbrella. That does not mean Deadpool 3 and Daredevil were one-off experiments, though.

The franchise already has R-rated titles like the long-gestating Blade movie, this fall's Marvel Zombies, a second season of Born Again due next year, and the skull-cracking Punisher Special Presentation on the docket. According to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, the MCU dipping into R-rated content will not slow down anytime soon if it makes sense for the specific story any particular project is telling.

Feige confirmed the MCU R-rated train is not slowing down in a recent conversation with Deadline. In that interview,...

'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 Gets a Blunt Update From Kevin Feige
Image
Daredevil: Born Againhit Disney+ and brought Charlie Coxback as Matt Murdock. He first appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home before making a cameo on She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. But now the world of expanding the Marvel lore through shows might be changing. In a new interview with Marvel's President, Kevin Feige, he was blunt about the events of the larger Marvel universe effecting their shows. In the past, shows like Hawkeye have included references to the Blip by showing Yelena (Florence Pugh) getting snapped away.

During a press conference to help promote Fantastic Four: First Steps, Feige spoke with a small group of journalists about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Including Robert Downey Jr.returning as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. One of the things that Feige made clear this time around is that the plan for Marvel and their slate of Disney+ shows is changing. Instead of...

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Will Give 1 Popular Character a Much Bigger Role
Image
Daredevil fans can expect one fan-favorite character from the MCU to have a much bigger role when Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 makes its way to Disney+. Born Again Season 1 faced plenty of challenges in development, originally having nothing to do with Netflix's Defenders Saga before being reworked so that those shows were officially canon to the MCU. This led to some characters being underutilized, but moving forward, that may change for a select few.

Set photos and videos are teasing a bigger role for Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Following a major creative overhaul for Born Again Season 1, Woll was finally brought back to play her role from the Netflix show, but her time on screen was limited to only two episodes. Now that the show is back on track and has its story settled out, things should be looking up for...

First Look at Marvel Studios' 2nd Netflix Reboot Project Finally Gets Revealed
Image
New photos have revealed the first look at the set of Marvel Studios' second Netflix reboot project. Jon Bernthal made an impactful return as Frank Castle (aka the Punisher) in Daredevil: Born Again Season 1, joining Matt Murdock's quest in his fight against Wilson Fisk's new regime as mayor of New York City. At the end of Born Again's debut run on Disney+, Punisher was captured by the Kingpin's Anti-Vigilante Task Force. In the post-credits scene, however, the Punisher appeared to be on the verge of escaping after he tricked a guard and broke his arm in the process.

Daredevil: Born Again's post-credits scene seemed to perfectly set up the events of Marvel Studios' upcoming Punisher Special Presentation on Disney+. This second Netflix reboot project is confirmed to make MCU history because it will highlight the titular anti-hero's clash against a female villain, marking the first...

The Punisher Special Presentation Set Photos Reveal First Look At Jon Bernthal’s Grizzled Frank Castle
Image
Just Jared has shared even more photos from the set of Marvel Studios' upcoming The Punisher Special Presentation, offering a first look at the return of Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle — sporting a noticeably different and far more grizzled look than when we last saw him.

Last we saw Frank Castle, he had escaped the Kingpin’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) makeshift prison and was presumably on the run following the implementation of Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante mandate. While rumors suggest he may appear in the recently wrapped second season of Daredevil: Born Again, set to stream in March 2026, nothing has been officially confirmed, so there’s a decent chance that the upcoming special presentation could be where we catch up with him next - and one thing’s clear: time hasn’t been kind to good ol’ Frank.

The latest photos show Bernthal with a long beard, looking a bit worse for wear,...

'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 Star Vincent D'Onofrio Shares Filming Update
Image
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has wrapped filming, and several members of the production have taken the time to share their heartfelt gratitude for the production on social media. The series had been filmed, among other places, on location in New York, with set photos teasing things like Daredevil's new suit, and the appearance of another Defender making the transition from Netflix to Disney+. To celebrate wrapping production on the second season, Vincent D'Onofrio took to social media to share his excitement with the fans about the next batch of episodes, which will undoubtedly pit Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk against each other in an exciting climactic battle.

In a post on X, D'Onofrio would share a photo of himself in character as Wilson Fisk, announcing that he had wrapped filming on the show. The actor would say in the caption of the tweet (which can be viewed below) that he...

Bullseye Actor Teases Unhinged Return in Daredevil Born Again Season 2
Image
Bullseye actor Wilson Bethel teased a more unhinged version of the MCU villain in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and fans should be worried. Bullseye (aka Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter) has been a crucial part of Daredevil's story, whether in the comics or on-screen, and Daredevil: Born Again made the character more dangerous after he killed Foggy Nelson in Episode 1. While Bullseye suffered from a massive four-storey fall and endured harsh injuries from his fight against Hell's Kitchen's protector, the villain still survived due to Dex's spine being enhanced with cogmium steel (aka his wild new power).

While a good chunk of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 saw Dex in prison for Foggy's murder, the villain still found a way to escape and exact his revenge against Mayor Fisk and his wife, Vanessa, for essentially ruining his life in the process. Although Dex failed in shooting down New York's new mayor,...

Daredevil: Born Again Star Wilson Bethel Teases A New Side Of Bullseye In Upcoming Season 2
Image
Daredevil: Born Again didn't originally include the return of Wilson Bethel's Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter. However, the creative overhaul added Bullseye to the mix, and the series was all the better for it.

Following the villain's failed attempt to assassinate Mayor Wilson Fisk, he remains on the run and is likely still eager to take his revenge on the Kingpin and his wife, Vanessa. Several season 2 set photos, meanwhile, have pointed to Daredevil forming an uneasy alliance with the man who killed Foggy Nelson.

In an interview with Collider, Bullseye actor Wilson Bethel was asked what it meant to be brought back into the fold after previously appearing in Daredevil season 3.

"As it happened, getting that call and getting the opportunity to return to that show and return to that character, who I just absolutely adore playing, and I think it's so much fun to play, it’s just been...

'Daredevil: Born Again' Star Is "Thrilled" for Fans to See Surprising New Sides of His Supervillain in Season 2 [Exclusive]
Image
Filming just wrapped on Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, and, in a way, Wilson Bethel still can't quite believe it's a reality. It's not often that streaming series get a second chance at life years after their cancellation on a completely different platform, even if they're as beloved as Netflix's gritty original Daredevil show. Yet, that's exactly what happened earlier this year when, after years of work and a complete overhaul under showrunner Dario Scardapane, the Man Without Fear returned on Disney+ with a vicious first season that brought back the bone-breaking violence and mature storytelling. Bethel is beyond thankful for the chance to get to reprise and build upon his role as Bullseye, but with Season 2, he's taking Benjamin Poindexter to places viewers never imagined and feeling the desire to keep this going for years to come.

In an interview with Collider's Christina Radish for the new murder mystery miniseries Untamed,...

'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 Adds Another Netflix Marvel Actor
Image
Slowly, but surely, the small corners of the Netflix Marvel universe are starting to make their way back into Marvel Cinematic Universe territory. It all started with Charlie Cox's inclusion of his character Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, as well as the Disney+ series She-Hulk. Eventually, Cox reunited with several of his Daredevil co-stars for Daredevil: Born Again, a spiritual sequel to the Netflix saga that picks up on various story threads from the original series. Now, another character from Netflix's Daredevil will reportedly be making an appearance in Born Again Season 2.

As it turns out, Detective Sergeant Brett Mahoney (Royce Johnson) is set to be a supporting character in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Mahoney was a character who started as a beat cop in Netflix's Daredevil Season 1, and slowly went up in the ranks of the police force thanks to his team-ups with the man...

Daredevil: Born Again - It Looks Like Another Netflix Series Character Has Been Confirmed For Season 2
Image
After playing a key role in the original Netflix Daredevil series - as well as Jessica Jones and The Punisher - fans were surprised not to see Detective Sergeant Brett Mahoney return for Daredevil: Born Again.

Mahoney was determined to remain honest in a department full of dirty cops, and even though he was against Daredevil's (Charlie Cox) vigilante methods, he aided Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson in their cases and ultimately came to see the Man Without Fear as a force for good.

Mahoney was instrumental in putting Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) behind bars towards the end of season 3.

Now, fitness coach Naqam Washington has pretty much confirmed that actor Royce Johnson will reprise the role for season 2 of Born Again, which recently wrapped production in New York.

Marvel Studios' Historic Netflix Crossover Is Only 8 Months Away
Image
Fans are only eight months away from a historic Marvel Studios Netflix crossover. After years in the super-powered dog house, the Netflix Marvel series are back in the spotlight, with characters like Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Jon Bernthal's Punisher leading the charge. The new initiative at Marvel Studios has seen several of these formerly Netflix-exclusive characters/shows dusted off for Disney, with this year's Daredevil: Born Again being the thing to kick this new era off.

These Defenders-centric efforts will only continue to expand within the MCU ranks. Born Again Season 2 has already been confirmed to feature another returning Netflix character in Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones (who led her own Marvel Netflix series for three seasons), with rumors swirling of heroes like Iron Fist and Luke Cage coming back into the fray.

Jessica Jones Star Reveals How Long She's Kept Daredevil: Born Again Return a Secret
Image
Krysten Ritter had to get creative when deflecting attention away from her Daredevil: Born Again return.

Per The Playlist, Ritter made an appearance on the website's podcast Bingeworthy, where she revealed a few details about playing Jessica Jones again and the struggles of keeping that information under wraps. "I've also known for so long, and keeping it a secret has been torture. I'd known for almost two years, and it's a long time," she said, adding that Jessica's return has "either been talked about, in the works, or some state for a long time. So, keeping that secret and keeping the enthusiasm and waiting until the [Marvel] upfronts to announce it, it was like, when it was finally out, I was like, 'Oh my God!' I'm always pretending I'm not in New York…keeping secrets because I get asked about it daily."

While Ritter's time as the superpowered private investigator...

Jessica Jones star breaks silence on Daredevil: Born Again return
Image
Jessica Jones is back in action, and Krysten Ritter is sharing how it feels for the Pi to be rejoining the MCU!

Before the current wave of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Disney Plus, Netflix was the first to showcase a small-screen Marvel universe. It began with Daredevil before moving onto Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. That led to the four street-level heroes coming together in The Defenders.

Sadly, as Marvel and Disney exerted more influence, the Netflix shows were cancelled and eventually removed from the streamer. Thankfully, the characters are returning as Daredevil: Born Again has acted as a direct sequel to the Netflix show, with Charlie Cox back as The Man Without Fear.

That had fans excited about the possibility of some of the other Netflix heroes coming back. Those hopes were met as it's confirmed that season 2 of Born Again will have Krysten Ritter reprise her role as super-strong,...

'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 Star Krysten Ritter Teases "Gritty" MCU Return
Image
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will feature another fan-favorite vigilante alongside the titular character. Ever since it was confirmed that Krysten Ritter would reprise her role as Jessica Jones alongside Defenders alum Charlie Cox, fans have been anxious to learn more about the long-awaited return. It seems her MCU debut will be as exciting as promised, while still feeling familiar to those who love the tone of the Netflix Marvel era.

During an interview with ScreenRant, Krysten Ritter was asked about her role in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Not only did she confirm that she will indeed put on Jessica Jones' signature boots again, but that fans of the Netflix shows will feel at home with the "gritty" second season. The extent of her role has not been revealed thus far, but it seems the Jessica Jones star is more than elated with how Born Again is treating the character.

Krysten Ritter: "It's very exciting.

Marvel Studios Is Reportedly Working On 3 Defenders Disney+ Projects
Image
A new report has brought up the number of Defenders Disney+ projects in the works at Marvel Studios up to three. After years stranded on Netflix, Marvel Studios revived the Defenders corner of the MCU earlier this year with the debut of Daredevil: Born Again. The R-rated streaming series brought beloved Marvel stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio back to their roles from the Netflix Daredevil series, setting up a potential full-on renaissance for the gritty, grounded pocket of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Insider Daniel Richtman shared that a third Defenders-related project is now being developed for Disney+. This new title follows in the footsteps of Daredevil: Born Again (which is set to debut its second season sometime next year) and the Punisher Special Presentation. The formerly Netflix-bound Defenders franchise has been enjoying some time back in the sun at the MCU, with Born Again serving as the launching point.

Krysten Ritter Teases Her "Gritty" Return As Jessica Jones In Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
Image
Earlier this year, we finally got confirmation that Krysten Ritter will be reprising her role as Jessica Jones for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and the actress has now teased her return as the hard-drinking Pi during an interview with Screen Rant.

As you might expect, Ritter didn't get into plot details, simply noting that she is "thrilled to be back in Jessica's boots. There's more story for her and it's really exciting."

"Oh, it's gritty," she added. "It feels big too. The crew's amazing. I've had an amazing experience. I can't say anything, but I love being with Charlie [Cox]. It was as if no time had passed. Like, my first day, I was looking around like we're back. But juxtaposing it with Mia [her Dexter Resurrection character] and Jessica has been really creatively fulfilling for me as an artist and just what a big, big banner year I'm having. I...

Krysten Ritter Breaks Silence on Her Long-Awaited Marvel Return in 'Daredevil' [Exclusive]
Image
The dream of bringing back Marvel's Defenders was given new life back in May with the announcement that Krysten Ritter would be joining Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 as her grizzled, whiskey-downing P.I. Jessica Jones. Viewers haven't seen the character since Season 3 of her solo Netflix series, when she resolved to keep up her heroic work, even though her foes had been dealt with and the show had been canceled. While plot details have been kept under wraps about her return to crime-fighting next year, Ritter has finally been able to open up about what to expect from her character after so many years away. Speaking to Collider's Tania Hussain for Dexter: Resurrection, the actress hinted at a Jessica Jones renaissance that will bring action and layered storytelling alike to the Devil of Hell's Kitchen's Sophomore MCU outing.

"I would love to [share more], but I can’t, but I will...
