Rumors have been making headlines as of late that Marvel has reportedly canceled Charlie Cox’s latest Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, after only two seasons. But while this speculation sprung up from the Matt Murdock portrayer’s own comments, his co-star Vincent D’Onofrio has recently clarified that it’s just simply not the truth.

Recently, while talking about the upcoming season 2 in an interview, Cox referred to the season as ‘final season’, following which Giant Freakin Robot released an article titled, ‘Marvel Has Ruined And Canceled Another Beloved Superhero,’ focusing on Cox’s wording. However, D’Onofrio called it out for displaying “not the correct info.”

Marvel Studios' The Punisher Special Presentation has now officially wrapped filming in New York, and a video featuring star Jon Bernthal giving an impassioned speech to his cast and crew has been shared online via photographer Steve Sands.

The video sees Bernthal, who reprises his role as Frank Castle from the recent Daredevil: Born Again, thanking those around him for coming together to complete what he describes as an "impossible" 12-day shoot.

The crew was most likely under some pressure to get the Special in the can as quickly as possible, as Bernthal is expected to leave for London this week to begin filming his scenes as the Punisher for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

With nearly a month of filming complete on the solo project, a new set photo from The Punisher Special Presentationhas revealed the Marvel Cinematic Universe hero's new suit. After debuting the character in Netflix's Daredevil and leading his own show for two seasons, Bernthal made his proper MCU return in the recently aired Daredevil: Born Again season 1.

As promised last year by Disney CEO Bob Iger, Marvel Studios has scaled back to only 2-3 feature film releases each year, and with “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” in theaters, that’s it for the 2025 lineup. Bullseye (aka Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter) has been a crucial part of Daredevil's story, whether in the comics or on-screen, and Daredevil: Born Again made the character more dangerous after he killed Foggy Nelson in Episode 1. While Bullseye suffered from a massive four-storey fall and endured harsh injuries from his fight against Hell's Kitchen's protector, the villain still survived due to Dex's spine being enhanced with cogmium steel (aka his wild new power).

Filming just wrapped on Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, and, in a way, Wilson Bethel still can't quite believe it's a reality. It's not often that streaming series get a second chance at life years after their cancellation on a completely different platform, even if they're as beloved as Netflix's gritty original Daredevil show. Yet, that's exactly what happened earlier this year when, after years of work and a complete overhaul under showrunner Dario Scardapane, the Man Without Fear returned on Disney+ with a vicious first season that brought back the bone-breaking violence and mature storytelling. Mahoney was determined to remain honest in a department full of dirty cops, and even though he was against Daredevil's (Charlie Cox) vigilante methods, he aided Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson in their cases and ultimately came to see the Man Without Fear as a force for good.

Fans are only eight months away from a historic Marvel Studios Netflix crossover. After years in the super-powered dog house, the Netflix Marvel series are back in the spotlight, with characters like Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Jon Bernthal's Punisher leading the charge.
