Very nice TV show. I really liked the action intertwined with dark humour and some hilarious scenes. The protagonist's road to a new life and redemption is also beautifully done. Engin Öztürk is simply amazing in this role and I'm sure this role will be a game changer for him. He gives so much charm and depth to Gölge. The supporting cast is also great, we have a comic relief duo, a cute love interest, several evil mafiosos etc.

Very different, not your typical turkish drama, very funny and interesting. The best thing about it is that it's only 8 episodes.

'Shadow' is a hitman who was raised by, and now works for, Servet. One day he learns of his mentor's betrayal and goes on the run. With perfect timing a tailor, who owned a small shop, has died and his friends think Shadow is his long lost son. He moves into the shop and soon finds himself involved in the community's issues. Most serious of these being the pressure being put on them by a local crook hoping to develop the area.

I really enjoyed this series; for the most part it was a serious drama but there were a surprising number of comic moments. These comic moments are genuinely funny, often making me laugh out loud, and don't distract from more serious elements. There is some violence but it is neither excessively gory nor gratuitous. The cast does a fine job; most obviously Engin Öztürk, who plays 'Shadow'. The characters are nicely varied and fun to watch. The finale sets things up for another season; if it's made I'll certainly watch. Overall a really fun show which I'd certainly recommend.

Especially, I love the performance of supporting actors. They make the series better but don't forget the lead actor, he did a great job, too. Don't be a prejudice, you will love it. ***Watch with Turkish audio.

The script neither surprises you nor gives you exactly what you expected. At some point it made me laugh out loud, what else could I ask for anyway. Watch it, you won't regret it.
