Web series review: Code M Season 2 streaming on Voot
#sanjuzzreviews #CodeM2 #codem2onvoot #codemseason2 #VootSelect
After a brilliant Season 1 Major Monica Mehra (Jennifer Winget) is back once again to set the screen on fire with an even more intriguing Season 2.
When a threat to the CM's life is thwarted by Monica, she gets involved in an investigation related to a self styled vigilante outfit and ends up realizing that the key to the mystery lies in her own past that has haunted her since her childhood.
Jennifer Winget as a no nonsense Major from the Indian Army is as outstanding as she was in the previous season. She is ably assisted by Tanuj Virani who plays her love interest. Others in the cast too perform well.
This 8 part series with each episode having a runtime of around 20 mins is an excellent bingewatch option. You can literally finish it in around 3 hrs .
Crisp editing, gripping storyline without any unnecessary digressions make it an enjoyable watch. Twist in the end is also worth the wait.
Some scenes are over the top and seem too good to be true. But discounting those, the series is definitely worth a dekho!!👍
3/5 from me .. adios 🙂

Without revealing the plot , all I can say that the series covers the issues in our society with a good storyline and a tense cilmax . A must watch .
In 2022, the Indian military announced that it would allow LGBTQ+ individuals to serve in the military, but with certain conditions. For example, same-sex relationships are only permitted if they are consensual and do not disturb the discipline and cohesion of the military. But the crimes committed in order to conceal one's homosexuality is equally harmful as the crimes committed against individuals because of their sexual orientation.
Code M is a military-law drama that follows the story of fearless Major Monica Mehra appointed as a judge advocate in the Indian Army's Judge Advocate General's (JAG) branch. She navigates a complex case and uncovers hidden truths. This series raises important questions about the military's accountability.
Jennifer Winget shines as she brings nuance to her character, and with extreme ease, blends into the complexity and vulnerability of her character. The supporting cast deliver solid performances, adding depth and texture to the show. Ekta Kapoor has done an excellent job of crafting this powerful, compelling and thought provoking story that raises questions about military's role in society fabric and its open-mindedness. The direction is crisp and efficient. The cinematography and music are excellent. It does have few blind spots esp in characterization, but overall makes a great watch.

It is not a good attempt, provided the plot was good. The direction needs a lot of improvement, acting again is low standard. Even if you try hard to be connected, poor gripping screenplay does not help.
Lots of better option, the one on similar lines is Test Case that came in 2018 on Alt Balaji.
Most curious to meet people who give 9 or 10. Either they have not seen anything else or have a really imaginary taste.
Story was fab! tried to give a social msg... jennifer,an excellent actor gave full justice to the character of an army....i must recommend to watch it....
