Because of the main character is a professor you see ... still no pun intended. The relationships work more or less, but the movie does take quite a lot of time to get off the ground. It was still decent enough to watch through ... I have seen worse movies, with less happening I reckon.
The actors are doing their best and the mystery helps elevate this a little bit for sure. There is some crime element in it - and depending on what is important for you, that will weigh in ... when it comes to acting this works too (this is at least decent, even if you don't like the story, that much you can admit I think) ... I was hoping for something more gripping in the end ... still have seen worse stuff (no pun intended)
