Time goes by and ASI is undoubtedly one of the best Turkish productions. The truth is that the traditional atmosphere, the story, protagonists and actors are all so captivating for any kind of viewer. There is none of the pure and tremendous evil showed in Turkish series by which script writers show vengeance and violence, especially against women. I sincerely recommend this serie its interesting to know about turkish customs and way of living mainly in the countryside. It is also a delicate and tender story with the drama of life without over-acting or hysterical scenes that are normally showed in turkish novels. Most actors are over-acted by crying and shouting too much.

This one is definitely dated, but still worth watching. Overall it's not the best series but not the worst either. The acting and chemistry of Demir and Asi is what kept me watching until the end. I recommend giving it a view.

I have seen so many series in my life but this one is my favorite. I don t know where to start. The script was very good. It was about 2 people who be in love for the first time in their life and the last. They love each other to d e a t h. They have to overcome to every obstacle appeared to them, even the death, and finally they win. The music of the series was super, also. The director made his best to show us the natural beauty of the town that the couple used to live. All the actors and actresses were great, but the most important of the huge success of the series it was the leading actors.Tuba Buyukustuun and Murat Yildirim. The chemistry between them was something else. I have never seen in my real life or in a movie or a TV series, a couple such matching and adorable than this one.The best love story in TV.You must watch it.
I think to sum up this series, the key words would be the undeniable connection between Murat Yildirim(Demir) and tuba Buyukustun(Asi, to start off with the love hate relationship when they first interact and what unfolds later on in the series with Demir's past constantly getting in the way, for him to open up about his feelings towards Asi, the emotional scenes between the two characters are unbelievably natural and feel incredibly real and authentic, I've never seen acting in terms of showing emotion and connecting portrayed with such perfection, the series been filmed in my home town I have to admit I was pleased with the great scenery and locations chosen for the series overall a must watch, especially to see Murat Yildirim and Tuba Buyukustun at their best, the supporting cast of Cetin Tekindor(Ihsan) Cemal Hunal(Kerim) and the legendary Tuncel Kurtiz(Cemal Aga) are equally important and impressive.

I hardly watch any series on television, but I saw the commercial for Asi and considering I am very much taken by the presence of such actresses as Tuba Buyukustun, since I've watched some episodes of Ihlamurlar Altinda, I thought I'd give it a try. I instantly fell in love with the story and the chemistry that Tuba and Murat display on screen. It is the story of a man going back to his past, to revenge his mother's death, which of course the heroin is very much part of. Both hard-headed individuals with pride and huge egos, you will cry and live the details of their love story, you will also laugh and enjoy when these two go at it. It is a pride and prejudice story, but with many more twists and a slightly different ending. I recommend it for everyone, not only turks, as I am not.

I just wish this series will go on Netflix...The acting is superb. One forgets that is only a fantasy. Their acting beats Hollywood. L have been following their movies after ASI but nothing better than Tuba and Murat's chemistry. Looking forward to their partnership again in the future.

I absolutely feel to me Murat snd Tuba where very much in love. I loved their chemistry together. They had very serious issues with a history of each other's family issues. The cast is amazing and to me this is my favorite series.

Asi is definitely a favorite Turkish series for me. From my perspective, it takes the rating of a 10 because of the brilliant directing of Cevdet Mercan and the distinct writings of Gül, Nese and Sebnem.
Cevdet made a thoughtful choice in casting all actors. Moreover, he led each one into giving an excellent performance. I always remember Aslan's revengeful scenes, Ihsan's scenes in the Antakya's yellow field, etc. Choosing Nail Yurtsever as the series's music composer is another proof of Cevdet's flawless work. The series's music is so profound in the instruments used when compared to that of other series.
I credit Gül, Nese and Sebnem for their story's setting and themes they included. The setting of Antakya is such a unique choice, for seldom did series have rural settings back then, when Asi was aired in 2007. The themes of trust, childhood, forgiveness, the daunting effect of the past, vulnerability and love are just remarkably and creatively linked, intermingled and leading to the understanding of the other.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who is interested in the psyche of childhood traumas. Chapeau to each and everyone who helped bring this masterpiece to the big screen. Thank you. I am truly grateful.
