About as dull as your usual white-coater fake porn documentary, MASTER'S DEGREE benefits from the casting of pretty actresses like Susan Westcott as the visual aids. They even have clean feet for a change! Principal drawback to this Sam Lake Enterprises release is a misguided attempt at "style", in the form of shooting the bed footage in soft focus with diffusion & distortion by hanging beads and other objects in the foreground. Those horny porn patrons back in 1971 wanted to see the old in & out clearly, not mucked about.
A buck-toothed blonde (Heather Starr) is the host, implied to be one psychologist/marriage counselor Sheila Rossi. She played a similar front-man role in the white coater LET'S PLAY DOCTOR. Her voice-over drivel is of little import (the usual nonsense about variety, positions and happy marriages), just there to avoid censorship. As Warner Wolf used to say on the Sports segment of local newscasts: "let's go to the videotape!".
And Miss Sheila switches to the bed scenes for seven sexual vignettes, delivering the XXX footage fans paid for. Numero uno has Susan (attractive Lynn Holmes) masturbating because she is unfulfilled by her hubby. The penetration shots of her vibrator in her vagina qualify this as XXX while hubby tries out cunnilingus.
