AI Love You

A terryfing dystopia hidden in a superficial love story

There was a really strange feeling on me during the movie, like somebody create an Orwellian world but selling it as a happy and positive future. AI and robots are humanized and they are the "good guys" meanwhile humans presented as evil creatures who rule the AI. Not a single one positive men character, what I think is shamefull, this love story presents men as not worth loving but the AI. There are several contradiction and incomprehensible moment too. But to say some good think about it, the basic idea excites everyone's imagination (I think) and the movie is not boring.

I mean.. the robot building was cute

The whole sfx, art, and costume is like what 90s movies would think how the future would look like. A for effort i guess, but quite frankly nothing much else to see here.

Cute but...

There are lots of good science fiction novels that address many of the questions that are brought up in this movie. The writer and director should have read a few of them. Some of this was Ok, the CGI was pretty good, and the storyline has some cute bits to it, but this still isn't really a great movie.

Meh!!

After some point, the movie just seems like a typical love story with no real conflicts. The AI concept only added to extra Visual effects and not much to the storyline. The movie lacks logic (or) explanation for many parts and the villain looks amateurish.

AI tried to take this movie seriously.

The cast are too good for the movie. Honestly, I wasn't planning to watch it if they're not the leads. The plot and script needs improvement. The sfx and production effectively shows the glitch AI feeling to convey the techno world. I must say the robot building is what keeps me going but the sloppy progression takes away my interest.

Yup, AI tried to take this movie seriously.

There's, better, there's worse

This is more a YA rom/com, which is neither very romantic nor at all funny. The script is dull, the plot a bit silly. Of course, it's been done before.

The only part I actually enjoyed was the interaction between the AI buildings... and there wasn't enough of that to really carry the movie.

The acting was mediocre, the script mediocre, the plot... well, the entire film, mediocre. It doesn't really draw in the audience. It's barely fit as a rainy Saturday popcorn movie. Barely B-flick.

It's not a terrible movie, but by no means a good one. Droll is the singular word that comes to mind. Some may find it cute, but the English voice-over spoils it as a family film. Some translation companies should be slapped stupid. Or slapped sane, however one chooses to look at it.

LANGUAGE NOTE: Parents should be warned the English voice-overs contain vulgarity not included in the original Thai version, nor in the English subtitles. I consider that both unnecessary and a betrayal of the original version. Such poor translation can't even be accounted to cultural differences. It was just gratuitous slop translation.

So instead of my standard 5-star "mediocre" rating, it gets 3 stars for raunchy translation.

Can't even finish the movie

I think this will be the worst romantic movie from thailand .....even though having great cast the storyline was not even worth watching ....really disappointed.

Not that bad at all

This movie do have some good bits. It has a start, a middle and an ending. It has sound and made in color.

The AI building are the best part of the movie.

The script have a lot of potential for improvement.

A large part of the budget has been spent on SFX, actually almost all of the budget.

Target group for this movie is nuclear, it feels like a SFX show reel. A solid 2/10.

my first Thai movie

This was pretty cute, especially during the first half. Their were some great aesthetic qualities that I really loved with the anamorphism of the smart buildings. The parts with the villian got pretty campy and wouldn't appeal to everyone. But I am pretty good at suspending my disbelief and at rolling with a little camp or low production value or whatever. If you are good enough at those things and other watching skills that can be needed to explore cinema from all around the world you may enjoy this. I am glad I watched, for sure!

Props to the artists who accept the roles

If you are watching this because of their reunion you'll just get disappointed, though their acting is good it wont hide the fact that the plot is a mess, storytelling is bad, the villain is lame, and the ending is badly rushed, the only good thing about it are the robot's CGI (knowing that most of their budget is spent on special effects),...the environment is inconsistent, its a mix of cyberpunk and modern city witch doesn't make sense at all, if you want it to be cyberpunk just make overall theme cyberpunk...It's a subgenre of science fiction in a dystopian futuristic setting that tends to focus on a "combination of lowlife and high tech", thus badly implemented in this movie ....if you know what "DYSTOPIAN" means...

For me it's not even a love story.

Pink nippel!

My girlfriend made me watch it and it took some convincing as I'm really not a fan of romantic comedies.

Initially skeptical, I was positively surprised and ended up enjoying this genre mishmash. I liked the goofy humor spiked with some more edgy references while still being family friendly. Some CGI was surprisingly good, namely the robots and the music was very decent. The film was a bit quirky and a bit all over the place but overall very positively received and left us in good mood. Least but not last I found the cinematography refreshing, the Rainbow neon lighting was a nice touch and stands out in the ocean of the desaturated and depressing looks.

Only for Mario & Baifern's long time fans

Only made for Mario & Baifern's long time fans who have been wanted to see them back together on screen. Stephan Zlotescu came up with silly love story (neither funny nor cute) and presented it over cyberpunk world. Interesting CGI kept me going to finish this.

Simle futuristic rom com

Ai love you

Thailand in the future ... more progressive than the other counties ? I like this idea even if im not from that country except a fan of their very interesting music.

Somewhere in the future (possibly after 40 years? ) most buildings are smart and interconnected each other. A girl promotes to his customers of a re-design of a product but they are not enthused her boss warns her this would be her last chance before they fire her . The main AI IT system of the building helps her to make a new promo based on her information of the main system database declared to her he is in love with her but finally something happens .. pleas see the movie to understand th remain !

Surely this movie is fully GCI made showing the buildings move and behave a bit humanly some futuristic technologies with transparent smartphones and monitors etc ideas seen also on avatar and other ext generation movies. Another nearly innovating ideas is the robot- to human communication an idea I first seen in icky mouse issue 40 years ago.

The story is next to the CGI that is quite simple and with expected with some interesting twists Finally my rate : 7 for CGI and 4 for the plot . A movie I liked and will surely watch it again !

This Future is not to far off...

Funny how this movie makes so much sense. Technology has become so advanced and we use artifical intelligence in our everyday lives. Our computer phones tv the internet... In either Japan or China they already have a robot that resembles human features, with almost a mind of its own, its being taught how to learn... So in all honesty to movie isn't that farfetched. And should be easy for anyone to understand. This kind of future isn't that far away. Movies like have been out forever, and humans have always been trying to figure out a way to make it happen, playing god with something that they will not be able to control one day... oh the irony of it all...Good movie though.

REUNION FILM

I'm glad that they have a film after 12 years since the Little Thing Called love released. AI film is good but "KILIG" moments are few. Hope they have a project again.

Missing both of them

Quite entertaining... but don't like the ending too soon a year later without more explanation. If you miss baifern and mario together, then watch this movie.
