Review: I really like the idea of this show. Watching a competition where we find the leading actress or actor for a famous musical? That's so fun! Especially when it is the public who gets to choose; it's like we're suddenly somehow all casting directors! It's very impressive that all the episodes are 100% live and no autotune is used. However, my one big problem with this competition is the fact that we do not get to hear the contestants sing songs from the musical they're auditioning for. If the musical is The Sound of Music, then I want to hear the contestants sing songs sung by Maria. If the musical is Grease, then I want to hear the contestants sing songs by Danny or Sandy. Now, we don't get that. And I don't like it because it makes it practically impossible to truly decide whether someone would fit the part well or not.
